"After trying a number of different hotels I am now a regular at the Chatterley. Always a warm welcome and a comfy room. The gym is a real bonus and some breakfast items are available which is always handy. Clean and presentable rooms and a quiet location. Highly recommended. "

"The stay overall was great. The bed was comfy and the breakfast was really good. We arrived later than expected and there were building works happening in the main hotel so someone waited for us and explained that we had been upgraded to a cottage so we weren’t disturbed by the noise. The only things were that the water out of the hot tap for the bath was not very hot, and something had been spilt next to the bed so the carpet could do with a clean. "Nobody in reception at 20:50 with note to press call button but after 10 mins nobody turned up. We called all the numbers listed but there was no answer / number un-recognised. Went to the attached pub and asked about the reception and told someone would be coming over, 5 mins later receptionist arrived and announced that the attached restaurant was closed. Not a good first impression! "

"This was a business trip and I only chose this place due to the fact it was really close to where I was going the following morning... what a great surprise. Comfortable accommodation, sensible cost and a fantastic breakfast in the morning. This is not like your typical chain-hotels. Much more personal and friendly for sure and run by a family, so if you're staying in these parts of the country you should definitely support-local and get yourself in here. "

"I stayed there because I had to visit some customers really close. It seems like this place it's more for weddinds or other celebrations than for staying in. The service was not helpful at all. Breakfast it's included but there was a team of people just chatting and nobody came to explain what could I order. I had to go and ask and they were not kind at all. I won't definitely come back."
