While the hosts were great at communicating prior to our visit and responsive during the stay, they have been avoiding our request for a refund.
The photos are fairly accurate, but definitely do not tell the whole story. As another guest mentioned, the unit smells of smoke and it is not something easily overcome. There is one window AC unit in the living room and one fan in the kitchen. Bedrooms have no air flow and it is impossible to create, as there are no fans and no screens on the windows in the bedrooms.
You wouldn’t likely want to have the windows open anyway, as the neighborhood is fairly sketchy. The home behind us had several abandoned vehicles, boarded windows, and high weeds in the yard.
The front screen door also had a missing window pane, so we couldn’t even have that open to circulate air.
This decor and construction is cheap. Price tags still on tables, and pillows, dirty rug, dishwasher that doesn’t sit straight and closet doors that don’t fit the space.
I communicated pleasantly with the “host” several times and they offered to have housekeeping deliver an air purifier, but we were out for the day and didn’t feel comfortable having someone entering the unit, with our belongings there.
We left one night early to stay at a hotel and have asked for a refund for the final night - it’s been several days and we still do not have a response from whoever can authorize a refund - it is apparently NOT the “host” we have been communicating with.
