"It was a nice quiet stay, the owners live in the property, but they stay in their house, they didn't bother us. The property was clean and our kids had fun, they had board games, and toy provided, and a trampoline outside that our kids were allowed to used"

"The steps outside could use some repairs but overall room was comfortable and just on a beautiful mountain. Be aware roads are very windy and narrow to get up there and stop for food before you do. Was great for late night star gazing. The host was amazing and very knowledgeable and helpful. He lead a couple nights of star gazing and pointed out the Atlas Comet, several satellites and planets. He took a map out for us for Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon and pointed out all the most sees....

"Step back in time with a little log cabin and wood burning stove/heater. Off the main drag with abundant privacy. Less than an hour to General Sherman tree. Used the grill for dinners and enjoyed looking at that historic Sears Roebuck catalogue from 1908! Charmed!!"

"We really enjoyed staying at Ash Mountain for many reasons. To begin with, the setting is superb: a quiet mountain overlooking a river. The constant sound was super peaceful. Communication with Lori, the owner, was great and she helped us to ensure a pleasant stay. For example, we did not know about the harsh winter they had had at Sequoia as we do not live in the US, but she warned us about road and park closures so we could plan our days. "The location of the house is perfect. Easy to get to and so close to SNP. The views are fabulous! It was a great place to relax when we weren't out and about. My only reason for not rating a 5 is the living room sectional is in desperate need of replacing. Comfy furniture would make it a 5+"

"Sandy the caretaker was lovely and did a good job, going out of her way to place fresh flowers and write directions to the park entrance. It has a very nice view and is quiet and remote. Furniture is quality and comfortable. But cats took over the porch, there was no heat, no cell reception, and the well could run out of water at anytime. Be ready for remote living."

"It's a very basic place. I think I paid a lot more that the place its worth. Maybe if I arrived directly, the fees would have been much lower. I feel scammed. The place is a good place but not for the price I paid. I paid almost the same in the W San Francisco Hotel! Not happy."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The host was lovely and very communicative - she happily let us check in early, and check out late. Amazing proximity to Sequoia National Park. Only room for improvement would be if the property had its own private entrance. You have to drive past a couple of houses to get to the location, so we were a little confused getting to the house, but it all worked out!"
