We had a fantastic vacation at Always Dreaming. The house itself is a nice size, and nicely laid out. The Living/Dining/Kitchen area is all open, so we never felt cramped with 6 adults. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms were good, but the real stars of this vacation were:
1. Porches. Front and back were so nice that we spent more time sitting on the porches than we did in the house. The outdoor furniture is really comfortable higher-end pieces. They could have used a little cleaning, but overall, excellent. 2. The proximity to the beach was interesting. The house sits on Old A1A, or what is left of that section. The road itself washed out years ago, and this house sits at the end of the north section. Pictures indicate that we could walk out the front door, turn right and hit the beach. Not so. Because of the stone berm in front of this section of road, you have to walk around the back of the house and around to get to the beach, which was not a big deal at all. In fact, it made it so the beach was very private. 3. The water was so clear and refreshing, it was truly amazing.
There were a couple of minor things that don't even need to be mentioned, other than beach chairs and beach toys were just about non-existent. In summary, it's an easy 5 stars for us, even with the bizarre geography and a couple of warts. Before you rent, be sure to look up 'Old A1A at Summer Haven', so you can understand what you'd be getting into. For us, we loved it and will return every year we can
