We stayed with a family group. 8 adults and 4 children. On arrival we noticed the large lawn out the back hadn’t been mowed in a while and there was broken glass everywhere and broken glass bottles in a fire can. Not ideal with four toddlers who wanted to run right out and play.
The house itself is fine. Absolutely no basic comforts and you have to pay additionally for linen and towels - which we did.
We were supplied with 6 rolls of toilet paper for 3 days, so definitely bring some more of your own. There is no tea, coffee, salt, pepper or anything along those lines so make sure you bring everything you need, or there is an IGA up the road.
The cooking utensils weren’t clean so we had to wash everything prior to use. And there is entire draw of at least 30 large knives (at toddler height in the kitchen so just check that when you arrive if travelling with kids) but they won’t do much damage anyway because most of them couldn’t cut butter. The house itself is quite nice and the inside was clean. I would happily recommend it for a group of guys on a bucks weekend but probably not to families travelling with young kids. If the backyard was tended to, the kitchen utensils cleaned and upgraded and basic comforts like enough toilet paper then it would definitely be worth what you pay for it. But as it’s stands now, you can definitely get much better properties for the same price.
