"A clean, comfortable, warm and cosy place to stay - felt like home from home Perfectly located for exploring the area. Kitchen very well-equipped, has everything you could possibly need. Beds incredibly comfortable with beautiful linen. Hosts incredibly helpful and responded immediately to any queries. Even the residents of Castleton couldn't have been more friendly and helpful! We would definitely stay here again. Thank you."

"We had a lovely holiday at the Postgate Nook. It is a cozy house, tastefully decorated. The kitchen is complete. The wood stove provided warmth and extra atmosphere on cool days, although the temperature inside was always pleasant. The terrace offered a beautiful view of the valley and beautiful garden. "Lovely set of cottages in the N Yorks countryside. Really rural location and we had great weather to enjoy the area and the villages. My only small gripe was when the broadband went down . When I tried to contact the owner as per instructions, we couldn’t by WhatsApp or phone due to no phone signal in the area. The instructions said to knock on the farmhouse but it appears that the owners don’t live on site. We survived without it but the instructions need updating "

"I was staying for 3 weeks , when I arrived I had to contact the people to get the access code as they did not send it as I had an overseas contact number . If I had arrived after dark you would never find the key box as there is no lighting in the area where access is. "We had a party of 15 family and friends for a special get together over a long weekend. Fabulous property with lots of rooms, lots of space and very well appointed kitchen. The directions to the property could provide a little more detail to warn of the very long, climbing road up and over the hill. It feels like you are on the wrong road and suddenly you see the property in the valley beyond. Worth preserving !"
