Vista Estrella was the setting for my Dad’s 70th birthday celebration. We maxed out at 13 people and had plenty of room to sleep, hang out, etc. (We did wish for more eating space where we all could fit but we managed!) We cooked every meal at the house and the kitchen had almost everything we needed. WiFi via Starlink was great for those of us who needed it, as well as a smart TV for streaming. Nice selection of board games were available and a good stack of Nat Geos! :)
We enjoyed the fire pit one night, and the back deck at all times of the day. Outdoors, the birds, butterflies, lizards, trees and flowers were all a delight to the senses. The kids, teenagers, and adventurous adults spent hours at the lake, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding (both provided and brought along) and exploring.
The house was very clean when we arrived. Our hostess was super responsive and quickly answered questions and solved any problems that arose, such as our code not working upon arrival.
A word to the wise: the house is very remotely situated (fortunately we planned well and never had to leave) - it is a trek along rough roads to get back to it. Also, for anyone not young and physically fit, the terrain behind the house presents its own challenges. Including the boardwalk, there are at least 100 steps down to the lake. The hillside is steep and the bank of the lake is steep with loose rocks. Just be aware and prepared. Lake shoes or sturdy water sandals are a must!
