"The hotel had only just re-opened that week, having been closed for 8 months for refurbishment ... in fact when i went online to confirm the time of my arrival, having booked with Expedia, I was somewhat worried to find that it said the hotel was closed! "Arrived over an hour before standard check-in and room was ready. Lovely, large room in a cottage by the river with free parking. Staff Lovely & friendly. Got back just before 11pm and was able to get more milk for a late brew. Only grumble, not enough milk left in the first place. Loved our Eggs Royale for breakfast. 11am check out is just right. Would reccomend."

"Parking was very easy and cheap . It was easy to get to the hotel, the staff were friendly and the breakfast good. Although the hotel is in a quite area there is a lot of noise in the night from the cars racing along the carriage way, we used our ear plugs. Location is very good for the bus and train station, we took the train to Leeds and it was easy."

"Considering this is a budget hotel it is excellent and great value for money. Very clean, pleasant staff and a decent breakfast that includes a small but very nice hot offering... amd great coffee. Bed is very comfortable...all I would suggest is replace that stool with a suitable chair. Great job otherwise."
