Door County Fall Getaway
This place is awesome, as well as the owners! It is updated with all the comforts of home and priced comparable (or lower) than most hotels with not nearly the amenities that this one has. This is an annual trip for us!

It really couldn't be any better.
My brother (58) and I (70) came from Northern Illinois for a couple of days fishing in late Sept. 2024. The Doorstop was perfect for our needs. It's a two-bedroom upper in immaculate condition. It's very modern, clean and very tastefully decorated. The bathroom is super clean with a full-sized shower. Ladies will really appreciate it. The property owners, Steve and Joan, live on the property. They're very attentive to needs and questions, but they do not intrude at all. Really nice people! You can't go wrong at the Doorstop!

Weekend away
Joan and Steve were wonderful hosts. Greeted us when we arrived. Accommodations were spotless and had all we needed. Neighborhood was quiet and if you like birds there were numerous verities including turkeys. Were able to take advantage of local activities including boat tour and trolley tour. Enjoyed eating at the Fireside Restirant. Would recommend highly

Great Getaway
My friend and I loved Joan and Steven’s place! It was so comfortable, peaceful and quiet. Had everything you would need in a vacation rental. Joan and Steven were amazing hosts - lots of communication, recommendations and help! For example, Joan loaned us towels and folding chairs in case we decided to go to the beach. I’d recommend this place and would return!

Cozy and Quiet
The property is so beautiful. The place is clean, cozy, and quiet. I got a chance to meet the owners and they were lovely. I definitely plan to come back and stay with them again. I highly recommend if you want a well rested stay.

Great stay. Very clean and accommodating.
My friend and I stayed for a fishing tournament. Great spot for up to two boats. Any more and parking would get tricky. Super nice people on a very nice property.

Quiet and comfortable place.
This VRBO was totally awesome. When we pulled in there were three deer eating apples, and six turkeys eating food under the bird feeders. We also saw several smaller birds on the feeders. Steve showed us up to what would be our home for 4 nights. The place was very clean and we totally loved staying there. We also talked with Joan who let us borrow a Door County map for our stay. Both Steve and Joan were helpful in giving us travel tips and places to eat at. The location of this VRBO was centrally located to the places we wanted to see. A nice quiet place with comfortable beds, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the Door County area.

Very Peaceful and very nice. The 2 bedroom separate apartment was very accommodating. Kitchen was well stocked and they had coffee and creamer for us, even though we brought our own. The place is a few miles west of Sturgeon Bay but very easy to get to downtown. We toured Door county and Joan gave us tips as well as brochures on items of interest. We had a great and relaxing stay. Thanks Steve and Joan

Perfect Sturgeon Bay Stay
Beautiful carriage house. Had all amenities. Hosts were extremely accommodating. Property located about 10 minutes from downtown Sturgeon Bay. Quiet place to stay on beautiful, sprawling property. Outdoor fire pit too. Garage space below the carriage was a plus to store our bikes. Definitely would stay here again.

Joan & Steve were incredibly hospitable, accommodating, and helpful with suggestions for our time in Door County. They even made space in the garage for our motorcycles. The apartment was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We highly recommend this property.

Great Place to Stay and Inviting
Rental was clean and inviting! Felt like our home. Hosts Joan and Steve are a pleasure to talk to and provide a great experience. Steve got the fire pit started for us and we had a great night watching the stars. Location easily accessible to Door County venues. We stayed here last year and came to stay again and thoroughly enjoyed the lodging and location.
