Stayed here for 3 nights. Animals = amazing. Best part.
Good: lovely setting, quiet - mostly. Check in process was a-ok. Host VERY communicative.
Bad: oy - multiple. I do have pics/documents to support all of this review (no place to upload)
-Kitchen items need a serious update. Utensils and pans are old + abused. Non-stick pans are scraped + awful. Tried making eggs, they stuck, picked up bits of Teflon + smelled awful. Couldn't even eat them - nor did I want to.
-We are a family of 3 + we take quick showers. Ran out of hot water after 15 mins. There is no dishwasher, we weren't doing laundry, so there is an expectation that there would be enough hot water for 3 quick showers. Unsure how this cabin would support a larger number of people.
-Outlet in the living room was just totally detached from the wall. Safety hazard, scared to plug into. It's an older house so outlets are limited to begin with - much less scared to use one or be unsafe for smaller kids.
-Bedding needs an update - poor quality sheets + very flat pillows. We stayed on the main floor, daughter stayed in the loft. The pillows were so flat on the main floor, I went downstairs to get more....
-Grabbed pillows, which were against rough wood wall, got 3 splinters, was able to remove 2 - but had to go to Boone urgent care and spend $50 (after insurance) to remove 3rd one, lost 3 hours of my weekend.
In summary - wouldn't stay again and would not recommend. Not worth the price.
