A wonderful week
The home was a wonderful spot for our large group to spend the week! One point that stands out is that it had one of the most well-equipped kitchens we’ve ever experienced in a beach rental- little things like that made all the difference. The third floor porch overlooking the beach and pool is a wonderful place to spend a morning and then again in the evenings! We’ll definitely be back!

Family beach vacation
We had a wonderful stay in Holden Beach. The house was beautiful, roomy, and well equipped. The outside pool and green space was a favorite of our family of 23. We will definitely be back!

Separate bedrooms and bathrooms great feature. Amenities wonderful. Upstairs bedrooms dated and could use some repairs. Long wooden walk way to beach and around pool has splinter issues. Wear shoes !!

Great beach stay
This home is located at a great spot on Holden Beach. The boardwalk to a great outlet for surf fishing . The pool and hot tub provided extended fun for the kids. The house is spacious and accommodated all guests. We have a few concerns that we’re quickly addressed by the home owners.

Beautiful views, great location!
This was our second time staying in this house over a 4 yr period. The house is beautiful and the layout is perfect for a large family gathering. The rooms from the many balconies all around the house are beautiful from the ocean to the sound. The beach is very private and the tide pools make for exceptional photos at sunset. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen well supplied and perfect for large gatherings. The only negatives we had were the cleanliness of the place. Like everywhere you go these days it is hard to find workers and the place was pretty dirty upon arrival. Even the beds weren't changed in some of the rooms and sand and hair were in beds. Luckily we had extra sheets to remedy this. The house did have some wear and tear over the years but nothing to distract from the fabulous time we all had. Management was also very responsive to any issues we had. Would highly recommend this house just be aware you may have some cleaning to do upon arrival.

Wonderful house and location!
This was our 2nd stay at this home. It is perfect for our family group of 19+ (ages 5-73). Love this section of the island where there are no crowds. Family rotated time btwn the beach, pool and hot tub every day. Love the reverse floor plan with living area on the top floor. Kitchen well stocked. Great living areas. Plenty of room for everyone to be together and/or to find a quiet spot and enjoy the surroundings.

Extended family at the beach!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 72 Palms. It was an extended family vacation. All of our children, their spouses and our grandchildren joined us there. The property is spacious and very well equipped. The elevator was truly amazing both upon arrival and departure. It was also much easier for my husband and I to join the activities with our children rather than using the stairs. The pool, the hot tub, and the beach were enjoyed by all! The property is beautiful inside and out. The porches gave us a wonderful view of the ocean from sunrise to sunset. Our grandchildren enjoyed the ping ping table and the pool table on the ground level, as well as cornhole. It was a wonderful place to gather for a family vacation!

Relaxing and Fun
We had approx 17 adults and 1 toddler. There was more than enough room that we didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. We cooked in all week and enjoyed all the space with two tables. The younger group went downstairs where the pool table and ping pong table were and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Having a bathroom and shower by the pool made it very convenient. Would definitely go back.

Wonderful beach house
The house was everything we expected and more. It's tucked away on the south end of the island abutting beautiful dunes and a long, wide beach. The house was beautiful and had more than enough space for my party (about 14 people). The amenities were great, the host was very responsive whenever I needed him. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a vacation down on the NC shore.

What Vacations Were Meant For
The oceanfront home provided our group with spectacular views. The ICW can be seen and enjoyed from street-side (front of home ) balconies. Similar homes of equal size and quality fill the landscape without impeding upon your view or enjoyment. The beaches were not crowded at all. Lots of beach! Many seashells were available for the avid hunter / collector. For those not familiar with the area, the water is normally much calmer than that of the OBX. Great if you have kids. A couple of young men in our group caught a few sizable flounder which were enjoyed by all. We saw Drum, and other small fish / shark. A fifteen minute beach walk will have you fishing in the ICW. We had several contacts with the owner / manager regarding anything important prior to arrival. If there were any issues which they knew of, they attempted to and did fix the minor things prior to our arrival. We were not hindered or put out in any way. The living, dining and bedrooms were great; plenty of space if you need to get alone. The two dining areas were large enough for our group of fifteen. We ate all of our meals in house, and no one seemed to complain of needing additional utensils, etc. Available laundry rooms were convenient for all parties and worked well. We used the grill twice, and that worked well. *If you want a prep table you might bring a small one. The pool and decking were enjoyed much of each day. If it were a really hot week, one might want to bring an additional umbrella or your own canopy for enough shade for all: 12:00-3:00pm. We had great weather so it was seldom an issue. The hot tub worked well and was enjoyable to many in our group. Great place for long conversations with the family. * we would definitely consider this home again if we need an 8 bed / 8 bath home. The 5,000 sq ft. size of this home means you are not crammed into small rooms or living space. If you have seniors whom are worried about steps, the reverse floor plan allows for two suites to be on the upper / living and dining room level. That was a plus. Our check in featured

Super awesome fun time!
This property exceeded mine and my family’s expectations! It was beautiful, clean and the location was amazing! I love that the beach was never busy, and it was great for the little ones to run around, while the grown ups looked for shells. The pool was perfect, all of us were able to relax and play at the same time, and the pool house was an added bonus. Every room had an amazing view of either the beach or the marsh which was beautiful. The owner was very quick to respond if I had any questions, which was great! Can’t wait to bring our family back for years to come. Everyone has a great time from my 18 month old all the way up to my 74 year old mom. Would recommend this property to everyone.

Beautiful property with amazing view. Main dining room window sadly has broken seal/fogged up obscuring view. FYI: The two queen bedroom, nearest the beach, on second floor window had a major leak during a hard rain storm. Needed towels to soak it up. Counters, floors and tables had crumbs and sticky spots when we arrived that we had to clean be fore hitting the beach.

Another Perfect Stay at 72 Palms
We had an amazing week at 72 Palms! This was our second stay at the house (7 families: 12 adults, 8 kids ages 5-9) and we would recommend it for any large groups. The beach is wide and very private. We enjoyed playing on the beach and in the waves, fishing, playing in the pool, relaxing in the hot tub, and playing games at the spacious dining tables. The kitchen is well stocked and the floor plan is spacious so you don’t feel on top of each other. Communication with the owners was always quick, clear, and easy.

Family Reunion
This property was perfect for a large gathering of people. The house has magnificent views from every room. It has spacious gathering places and is furnished beautifully. It has an open concept but so many porches and areas if you want your own space. The eating area has two large tables so everyone can gather to eat or play games. The pool is a wonderful area when not at the beach. This property felt like a high end resort. It is a wonderful place to stay. Very private also. Would definitely book this again.

Best beach ever!
We feel extremely lucky to have found such an amazing private beach house. The house is very spacious and each family could have their own space if needed. The entertainment is perfect, you could relax At the beach, enjoy the pool or the hot tub. The beach is so isolated we could even have a soccer game with all the teenagers and still not see any neighbors on the beach. Absolutely in love! Almost don’t want anyone to know about this beach 😏so it stays so beautiful !!
