Over promised & under delivered
From the moment we arrived there were some fairly significant issues with the property. Particularly given it being described in the listing as a “luxury” property with a large kitchen, heated pool that could sleep 13 people.When we arrived, the front door key pad would not activate and took several people many turns before it would activate and allow us to enter the code and enter the home. While the home sleeps up to 13, the home was not consistently set up for a larger gathering.There were only four drinking glasses, few teaspoons and 8 chairs for the “huge dining table”. The home has a fireplace. A axe was left outside, but there was no firewood inside or outside to be used. We were provided with three rolls of toilet paper across the three bathrooms, no cling wrap or kitchen towel and only one tea towel provided for a four day stay. We had to purchase a can opener, tea towels and drinking glasses on the first night. Downstairs, a tap continuously ran and could not be turned off. The main shower hot water tap was temperamental and would not reliably turn on. The pool was very cold. Downstairs smelled strongly of mould. We weren’t expecting a five star stay, but this property needs to be updated to provide for families comfortably and the language used in the listing should be toned down to reflect the actual state of the property.
