Disappointed
Booked this place to celebrate my wife’s 40th, her only request was that she wanted a hot tub. Original listing advertised a hot tub however upon arrival the hot tub was frozen and not operating. Reached out to the property manager who advised that it wasn’t part of the listed amenities (there are signs in the house for hot tub use)…I went back to the listing and it had been updated removing the hot tub language from the listing. We should have been informed that the hot tub was not working so we could have made other arrangements. I asked for a discounted rate and was given an insignificant discount. The property manager Vacasa was not helpful at all and the owner should consider making a change.

Though we enjoyed the snow and the beautiful surroundings we were very disappointed in the rental itself. We had to purchase toilet paper and paper towels as not enough was provided. We also purchased a shovel. We did leave it at the house so the next guests are able to shovel stairs etc for safety reasons. The house was not clean, please see attached photos. I understand that every owner has a right to keep their house how they like, however the listing information and photos need to match. We booked a house with a hot tub and no hot tub. There is completely different furniture in the house, not nearly as nice as the furniture posted. My intention is not to hurt the owners business rental by leaving a negative review, I think it's important to offer the product you tell guests they are purchasing.

Quiet cabin in truckee
The cabin is nice and was accommodating for us all. The kids enjoyed wandering in the back woods and collecting cones, playing on the tree. The hot tub was enjoyed and worked great.

Cabin felt like home
This cabin was perfect for me and my friends to stay at while we went spring snowboarding. Super fast Wi-Fi was a plus for downloading Xbox games and two showers helped. Hot tub was perfect after riding all day and kitchen had everything we needed. Even a bbq in the garage! So this place really was perfect and it felt like a second home.

Unhealthy Level of Cleanliness
I’m not sure why I was charged an outrageous cleaning fee, as it doesn’t seem it’s being used. There was pink mold all over the shower curtain downstairs, which forced us to use the tiny shower upstairs. It was unfortunate and annoying, but at least there was only two of us so it worked ok. However, if we had used the max capacity of the cabin, this would have caused a considerable problem. The most disturbing part was that there was a huge white-ish, sticky stain on the inside of the living room coffee table/dining table when you folded it out to the larger size. I’m not sure what the mess was, but I sincerely hope it wasn’t what it looked like, if you catch my drift. Lastly, I had contacted an employee about a refund for the hot tub fee as it was mentioned that the hot tub was not available for use. I was told it would be looked into, but I never heard back. I personally don’t think I should pay an additional fee for a specific amenity if that amenity is unavailable. I don’t think this canon is worth the money you pay to use it.

We Had a Great Time
The cabin was exactly as described. Very clean, very comfortable, had everything we needed (other than a coffee pot but Starbucks is only about 10-15 minutes away). The kids had a great time playing out back in the snow, overall we had a great time.

This cozy cabin and the privacy is what we enjoyed the most! The blizzard was insane! Our kids had so much fun. Will make this our annual place for sure!

There was no second key by the garage. That created quite bit of inconvenience since we relied on that information to plan activities. The ice in the back patio needs to be removed, patio might collapse. The sheets had multiple hair on them, I’m not sure if they were washed.

Great for large groups!
I had a group of 8 this weekend and the space fit everyone very nicely! Overall the house is very clean. The hot tub is a great addition, though it's a bit on the smaller end and fitting 8 people was difficult. The upstairs shower also did not get hot for some reason, so we all had to share the downstairs shower/tub. The kitchen had everything we needed, and there was a lack table that turned into a dining room table that we could all use. Overall a very nice place to host!

The property manager was terrific and available. Just had a couple of surprises, but overall the experience was good. Good supplies here for dishes, pots and pans, and chairs for dining and sitting on the deck!

Cozy Tahoe Donner Getaway
A wonderful cabin that was a perfect getaway for me, my husband and our dog. The place was located near many Tahoe Donner amenities and the nearby town of Truckee. After a day of activity, it was great to come back to the cozy cabin and enjoy the peaceful neighborhood, hot tub and decks. It was also a very smooth rental process with Vacasa, which made for a stress-free experience.

Lovely place, perfect for relaxing
The cabin is very comfortable and beautiful, the place is relaxing, you can go out for a walk and breathe fresh air, the quiet neighborhood, close to the lake. The only thing that was not pleasant was that the cabin was not very clean, wet dishes, spider webs on the ceiling and dirty towels. But that was not reason to spend a few pleasant days.

It was nice overall, but there were a few issues we ran into. The hot water was sporadic and generally only reached a warm temperature. The beds were on the older side and dipped in the middle. The scariest thing we encountered was a surge from an outlet that caused a light bulb to explode sending glass shrapnel into our babies pack and play. Luckily she wasn't in it at the time, but had she been it would have been much worse as I plucked shards of glass from the inside of it.

The house was basic but comfortable
This house had everything we needed and we loved staying here. The house was simple in its furnishings but still perfect for our group. The hot tub was a nice touch! My only complaint is that the heater covers were all broken and when I contacted the management company they didn't answer the phone or return the call or my email. Anyway, we would stay here again. Fun time!

Great town!
We did enjoy our stay at this place. It's in a very nice quiet neighborhood. Not to far from downtown and lots of nearby amenities. The place was clean and was stocked with the basics. It did have some broken vents and other small problems. It definently could have more comfortable furniture. Overall it was a good experience and I would book this place again.

Great cabin, but some issues
The cabin was very nice and about 25 minutes from Northstar. Unfortunately, the lockbox was jammed when we first arrived and had to wait for someone to come and let us into the house. Also, there may have been a power outage that shut off the hot water, so we didn't have hot water the two days that we were there. We didn't realize that we had to reset a switch to get hot water again. And sadly, we didn't get a chance to use the hot tub bc we thought it was buried under a ton of snow. We ended up finding it the day we left, but you have to use the entrance from one of the bedrooms to get to it. Even with the issues we had, I would stay here again. It was a cute cabin and our group had a great time staying there.

Beautiful property and home but.......
We enjoyed our stay but do have to say the home needs much TLC. It seems like things have been let go and it was aggravating to deal with it on our wedding weekend. The screen door feel off in our hands every time you moved it. The bulbs were burnt out in the master bedroom, that being the only lighting. The bed was old and uncomfortable. They only gave us one very small bar of soap to share between sink and shower in both bathrooms. For our length of stay we had to go buy more. Hot tub was very nice but parts of the filter were floating in tub. In the kitchen many of the coffee cups had large cracks running through them, unsafe to drink from. So to sum it all up, the house is a beautiful home but needs the owner to spend some time and make it nice to stay in.
