The management company had been using the incorrect address to send communications to me, so I did not receive any until the day after check in. I did appreciate that they called me to determine why I hadn't signed the contract, so I could at least find out how to access the unit. The bathroom had mold in the shower and the trash had not been emptied from the previous tenants. When I notified the management company of the cleaning problems, they only said the last inspection must have not been thorough.
