Great stay

We loved our stay here. The house had everything we needed. Sitting on the porch is so peaceful. Taking the kayaks out on the morning was AMAZING.

Holiday Stay
Dawn was a very accommodating host. She generously decorated for Christmas! The house is in a very rural setting with several tidal flooded roads in route. Well stocked kitchen, nice back porch with lots of seating, calming river views. Rugs and furniture dated; abundant kitschy rivah/crabs/shells/light house decorations. One note, the two queen beds in primary bedroom are really for family sharing, not friends sharing. The primary bedroom could be super if it had a king bed, updated lights with working ceiling fans, and a more modern bathroom (very high mirror in bathroom is unusable).

LOVED the River House!
My husband and I traveled to Virginia to visit family and truly enjoyed our stay at the house. The property was so quiet and listing was exactly as advertised. We enjoyed the back porch, all the squirrels and even saw a deer. There were no neighbors when we were there so felt like we were on our own little island. Definitely would recommend, especially for a larger group, the house had plenty of room. Dawn was super responsive!

Dawn made the check in process so easy! We rented the place for our wedding so we had somewhere to get ready! It was a great place and everything was so clean!! There was plenty of room, I would definitely rent this place again!!

My Happy Place
From start to finish our family enjoyed a wonderful experience at Land’s End Lodge. The location was perfectly peaceful and the amenities (linens, appliances, kayaks, comfy porch furniture, and wood for fire pit) provided just what we needed. Dawn was quick to reply to my texts and super helpful. The saddest part of the week was having to leave!!

Family Vacation
This was our 7th year staying at this property. We have loved having our family vacations at this conveniently located property. Close to shopping, grocery stores and restaurants. The house has pretty much everything you will need for a relaxing stay on the river. We are sad, due to local regulations, we won’t be able to use this property for family trips. We are considering a girls only trip because we so enjoy the location and the comfort of this property.

Wonderful 3 night stay!
Lands End Lodge had everything we were expecting & suited our family very well. The kids enjoyed being both inside & outside with plenty of activities available to them. We loved the porch, balcony, & dock- especially the river views. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful place.

Fun in the river
My parents, I, and my two sons spent a week at Dawn’s place at the beginning of the summer. The house was right on the water, very comfortable and had everything we could need for a week’s vacation. The kitchen was well appointed. Dawn was a great host, and very responsive. Two thumbs up.

Relaxing River Vacation
This river house is fantastic. Very well equipped kitchen. Views of the river are beautiful sitting on the covered porch or upstairs porch and also the dock. So relaxing and peaceful. We had never had a river vacation, this will not be the last one. You will not be disappointed. Great time!

Wonderful weekend!
We had a relaxing time enjoying the back porch and watching the birds on the river. The kitchen is very well stocked- everything we needed for a BBQ and casual dinners. The house is located in a lovely quiet neighborhood but near to town. Highly recommended!

I had an awesome stay at the house!!! It was clean and well kept. Great little fire pit and view of the river!!! Totally loved it. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking…. huge plus for me. I will definitely stay again.

Perfect weekend
My husband and I stayed at this property with my two brothers and their wives so we could attend a family wedding. Everyone loved it! It was neat and clean - well maintained. The kitchen had everything we needed and everything worked as expected. Even though it was cold outside, we enjoyed a beautiful sunrise on the river from the warmth of the family room. Great location and very responsive host. I hope we can visit again soon!

On the Rappahannock!
There's nothing better, especially if you have grown up as I did in Tidewater Virginia, than to wake up to the shimmering reflections of morning sunlight on the Rappahannock River! The waterfront and dock were thoroughly enjoyed by our water-happy Golden Retriever, despite the cold December temperatures! The house was well-supplied and the grocery stores are nearby for easy shopping. The grandchild and I loved the art-work, most especially the crabs on the walls - he had never eaten crabmeat - and when I was able to purchase some locally to make crab cakes, we had fun going from room-to-room identifying all of the crabs on the walls! Thank you for a great stay!

Great Christmas experience
My and family had a lovely stayed over the Christmas weekend. Dawn beautifully decorated the family room for Christmas including a tree. That was very appreciated so we didn't have to worry about bring decorations with us. The neighborhood was very quiet with most people gone for Christmas. It was great watching the sunset over the water. The house had everything we needed from linens, to kitchen amenities, firewood for the firepit etc. Having two dinner tables was nice (one seats 8) so we could have two family games going on at once. Sadly the outdoor temperature was below freezing so we opted out of using the kayaks! Dawn was helpful and responsive. Its likely we may be back next year :) Thank you!

A Long, Fall Weekend on the Rivah!
My husband and our 2 other friend couples spent a long weekend at Land’s End Lodge, and it was one of the most relaxing trips in a long time! This house was spacious, clean, and offered all amenities that the description listed. The river views from the decks, yard, and dock were incredible, and one could even catch the views from the large windows lining the back walls of the house. There were some good eating and shopping spots and the townspeople were friendly. Dawn was an amazing host from my first message through our stay, as well as a question or two during the stay. The only downfall was that 4 days were not long enough to truly relax and enjoy all that the house and area had to offer. We would love to return another time, but for a week next time! Thanks so much, Dawn! ❤️
