"A well aged puzzle piece bach, in NZ forest, tucked down a dead end road. Surprising amount of traffic on the road during our stay. Neighbours were quite noisy also but the bach had everything we needed. Hot water for a shower was a bonus. The old Shacklock range is prone to smoking out the bach but I think we figured it out after a few days. Reliable cell service is back at the Orwell Creek Road turnoff, for those wondering. For a last minute booking, it worked out well and appreciate the good...

"I spent a lovely week at Westie in Taylorville. The accommodation was very comfortable and well-appointed and included a washing machine. The whole property is surrounded by a quiet garden space and patio area which was ideal for a relaxing break. The property is also very close to the historic mining area of Brunner. I would recommend Westie to any traveller who was visiting this area of the West Coast. "

"The house was well presented in a good location. Good amenities and space for couples. Two out of the three couples we were with did mention that the beds were quite uncomfortable and it was hard to have a good nights sleep. So it could be worth checking the mattresses. Also it was quite a late check in time considered it is winter, when we arrived we all needed a hot shower due to being out on the river all day but still had to wait for the hot water cylinder to heat up after arriving at 4pm....

"Extremely comfortable with everything we needed. Very easy communication and checking in procedure. A lot of thought and attention to detail throughout the home. Was lovely to find milk and drinks in fridge and chocolates and cookies provided. Such a kind and thoughtful gesture. Walking distance to Monteith’s brewery where we had a fabulous evening. Would definitely recommend this property."

"We stayed 3 nights at Mike and Chrissy’s place near Greymouth. It was perfect for what we needed … quiet, open, and near enough to Greymouth for groceries and meals, but not so close that we felt we were in “the city”. The weather was cooperative, and we enjoyed eating most meals outside on the deck, and watched the sunset over the Tasman Sea each evening! Comfortable bed, small but well-stocked kitchen, and a very up-to-date bathroom. You have to carry luggage up the stairs, but it’s easy....

This venue is NOT supposed to be taking bookings. The owner of the property (not the provider) was immensely helpful and embarrassed by this event occurring. Unable to stay at the venue - address incorrect, and buildings under construction - had to find alternative...
