We had a large group of 7 families, 26 people total, which was a great fit because this house has 7 bedrooms. It worked out perfectly because all of the bedrooms are rather spacious and able to accommodate pac’n’plays, luggage, etc. The house itself is a little old and rickety in some areas, but they have done a great job of upgrading the appliances, adding new furniture, and including space heaters and plug-in AC units throughout the house for added comfort. The beds/mattresses/bedding were all new and super comfortable.
The kitchen is well appointed with everything we needed to cook for our large group and there is an extra freezer and fridge in the garage to store food and drinks that don’t fit in the kitchen.
The game room was a big hit, we played pool and foosball, watched the playoffs, and generally hung out a lot in there. We also took full advantage of the sauna and heated pool in the afternoons while the weather was nice and warm. The pool reached a max of 78 degrees, which was ok, but don’t expect a steaming pool for night swims if outside temperatures drop or if it gets windy.
The location is also convenient with plenty of grocery stores about 7 minutes away, and tons of wineries within 15-20 minutes. Check in and check out was a breeze and AvantStay was responsive to all of our requests and questions.
Overall a wonderful trip and a perfect location to create new memories with our kids and families.
