"We loved our stay in Marfa! This property has an unbeatable location right off the main drag, with so many shops within a 5 minute walk. It's right across the street from the Hotel Paisano, and a three minute walk to the Hotel St. George, both of which have excellent bars and restaurants, you can drive in 3 minutes to Marfa Burrito, Moonlight Gemstones, The Water Stop, and Cactus Liquors. "Enjoyed our stay, cabin was very clean and stocked with everything you need. The host stopped by while we were outside and introduced herself and husband. Enjoyed the wildlife (mule deer) and had a beautiful rainbow the first night and a gorgeous sunrise the next morning. "

"This is a favorite home-away-from-home for me. Central location to relatives’ homes. Easy access to airport. The hostess goes above and beyond providing bagels, coffee ( pods or ground coffee). I appreciate the security of the main gate and the front door with iron grill door. It’s very clean and cool in summer and cozy in winter. There’s 2 flat screens and most toiletries you can think of. "I hadn’t been to Alpine in 30 years, so when I booked this spot, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The location is fantastic with the grocery store around the corner. There is parking for two vehicles behind the home, and the house is fully fenced. The backyard is quiet and was great for a morning coffee and bird watch! "Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The night skies are SO dark and the stargazing was truly breathtaking. The house was very comfortable. The beds and linens were comfy and there were plenty of towels provided. The kitchen is nicely equipped for any meal, and we used it frequently as there aren't many restaurants in the area. " If your looking to get away from it all - and everyone - and you wished to visit Terlingua, Big Bend , the Chihuahuan desert, Lajitas, and Presido…. This is the spot. I had looked at 3-5 other spots. I saw those places on this trip. Research pays off. The Stargazer is off to itself. Quiet. Peaceful solitude. The views and sunrise/sunsets are second to none .
