"One night stay to experience the Periyar reserve close by. Our room was enormous and located near the very back of the property. "This hotel being a 5 star is a joke. The rooms are very old and the bathroom had a very bad smell to it. The room was not maintained well and was dirty. I have stayed at numerous 3,4, and 5 star hotels all over the world. This was by far the worst hotel and experience. The hot water did not work properly for showers and the lights went out at least once an hour. "We had a wonderful stay at hill’s and hues. Thank you for all your help with our stay. Just be mind full that it is at a top of a massive hill it is very steep to drive/walk up there but the hotel is very helpful. I would recommend."

"A good property close to main road through Thekkady but removed enough to be lovely and quiet. Beautiful grounds, pool was clean there was some play equipment. The restaurant served a good buffet for dinner and breakfast, with both Indian and western dishes. We chose to eat the Indian food it was served hot and was very tasty. "
