"Not your usual B & B. The Grange is a magnificant building set in a wonderful location.No lift to upper floors but reception were really helpful in relocating us to an upgrade, superb, ground floor room. Very clean with all the amenities Excellent breakfast in pleasant dining room. Afternnoon tea and cake laid on when returning from day"s activity. If looking for accomodation in Lake Disrict, we highly recommend the Grange Country House."

"Bed was too small and extremely hard. I was greeted by a wonderful helpful lady called Maya and thanks to her the stay was a bit more pleasant, but hotel is very runned down and noisy."

"We have been staying in hotels around Derwentwater for in excess of 20 years. The Glaramara experience tops the lot! We will not be looking for an alternative hotel in future. The accommodation was spacious and well laid out. Much thought has gone into furnishing and decoration of the hotel interior. Everywhere was bright and spotlessly clean. But above all was the standard of service and friendliness of the staff. A fabulous hotel."
