Lovely home in a quiet area
Lots of pros: home was lovely, comfortable and clean. Lots of space for our whole family and the yard was beautiful. The kitchen was well stocked (altho probably could use a clean out to get rid of long ago expired items. The only down side was with the showers. The house is advertised as sleeping 14 but you can only use one shower at once as there is not enough water preasure to use both showers at once. This particularly impacted us as we we were all attendimg a mid morning funeral. duneral offered

Perfect accommodation for Family Reunion
We recently traveled to Thompson for a Family Reunion and this home was the perfect accommodation for our 12 guests. The owner was proactive in communicating in advance of our trip and was prompt with responses to our inquiries during our stay. The highlight of the house is certainly the back porch. It looks out onto a massive property with an Apple Tree and pond. We spent some fishing during the day and used the Firepit in the evening. Plenty of wildlife -- including deer, a bald eagle, and we even spotted a Black Bear off in the distance while sipping morning coffee! Worth noting the final ~5 minutes of the drive to get to the house are on unpaved terrain, but it wasn't a problem or concern for us. I have no hesitations about recommending this home to anyone for a future stay. If you're looking for a peaceful / serene place located in Northeastern PA, this is the home for you and your guests.

Back Country Getaway
We simply loved our stay at this back country home. Our children loved the arcade and the pond. We had a scenic 20 minute drive to Elk Mt. Ski Resort. The check in was super smooth and the house sparkling clean. We cant wait to come again on our next ski trip to Elk!!!

Wonderful Home
This home exceeded our expectations and was even more lovely than the pictures showed online. We felt very secluded on this private property, but close enough to Elk Mt to enjoy time on the slopes. Our family slept very comfortably in the 3 large bedrooms upstairs, and the basement had full over full bunk beds and a king bed (not listed). The beautiful, and functional, kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to prepare our meals. Many thanks to the host, we will be back!

Great house for NYE weekend!
We had a wonderful stay! The house was perfect for our 3 families to enjoy a nice time together for NYE weekend! All of the reviews raved about how clean the house was & they were so right! The house was spotless! There was plenty of space for the adults and kids to hang out and enjoy. The property is huge and we enjoyed the outdoor fire pit too! The owner was easy to get it touch with & was able to answer any questions we had quickly. We had a nice time skiing at Elk Mountain which was an easy drive from the location. We would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for a place to stay with a group & we would definitely stay here again in the future.

Beautiful spacious country home with all the amenities!
My family and I came up for a long weekend! Six of us in total! Ample space to accommodate more. We thoroughly enjoyed the beauty of the property and all the amenities. My kids were in awe of the stars due to the lack of light pollution. Gary was very easy to deal with and was prompt to respond to any questions. Fair warning. It is a little over twenty minutes to the nearest grocery store due to the country roads. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful home & Perfect for Family Vacations, Friends & Groups
The house was as advertised - just beautiful throughout. It's very spacious. We had a family of 12 and everyone was comfortable. The cleaning was on point. The kitchen was fully stocked. The back porch was my favorite place. The scenery is very calming and beautiful. The property manager, Gary, was very helpful and responded promptly to my questions. I highly recommend this place!!!

Great Ski Weekend at Elk!!!
We had a fantastic weekend staying at this property and skiing at Elk Mountain. Elk Mountain was about 15 minutes away and easy to get to. The property is beautiful, with a wonderful backyard. The house itself is clean, modern, and plenty of room. Everything that you need is there. Plenty of space for everyone, including the kids to run around. Gary was very responsive to our needs and questions. I highly recommend this properly. Will definitely stay here again!!

Amazing House Away From Everything
This house was perfect for a mini get-away with 10 friends. The house supplied everything, and we only had to bring food/drinks. About 15 min drive to Elk Mountain so great if you are looking to ski/snowboard. Huge backyard and the basement was extremely fun to hangout in. Lots of space throughout the house. Bring a few extra rolls of toilet paper/paper towels as the closest store is about 15-20 min away! Gary and Jim were extremely responsive and answered any questions leading up to the stay as well as during. Would highly highly recommend!

Amazing house with all you need for get away !
I was just speechless from the beauty of this area . When I went inside the house it was beautiful and super clean . Never had such an experience since 2015 . Ski weekend
My husband and I , along with our 10 year old son, my best friend, and her 10 year old son stayed at this beautiful home for a long ski weekend. The house was perfect, clean, and located close enough to Elk Mountain. We had a nice time and enjoyed the beautiful views of the yard. Gary was very helpful and we would stay at this home again!!!
