We booked this property for a few days of snowmobiling… would have been perfect except Mother Nature chose not to cooperate. Despite the lack of snow, we decided to get away for a few days anyway. The house is located in an area perfect for snowmobiling- the trail is literally just off the driveway and there’s ample space on the driveway for a couple of vehicles, trailers, and sleds. The driveway pulling in is a little steep if it would’ve been icy, but if your vehicle is all-wheel drive, it’s probably fine.
The house itself has a nice layout and worked for our family of four (two teen kids, my husband, and me). There’s plenty of kitchen equipment if you plan on cooking, but there are at least 3 bars/restaurants within walking distance and/or a couple of miles, so it’s easy to go out or stop in your way home from sledding.
We spent a lot of time watching movies and playing games with the kids, so the space worked well for us. Gathering upstairs for a meal or a game with a group of people larger than four might be tricky; there really isn’t space for that. However, the basement has a bigger gathering space for games. It was chillier down there in the winter- to be expected this time of year, so we preferred to be upstairs by the fireplace which we enjoyed! The game room downstairs is good for littler kids, too. The ping pong table isn’t full size, but definitely entertaining.
Overall, we’d stay here again. It’s clean, quiet, and has a great location.
