The property was beautiful, and so was the room at first glance. Our host was also pretty nice. Unfortunately our positive experience stops there.
The first hiccup was GPS does not lead to the right property. According to our host, this was because the area was a new development. Unfortunately for us, there was no indication of it on the listing. Furthermore, the property itself did not look like it was for guest stays, and we were left quite panicking until our host came home. Pure luck he did.
Our host was not informed of our stay, confusion with family members in charge of the actual listing apparently. I can only assume this is why the room was not ready for our arrival. By ready I meant, fit for stay. This is the main issue with our stay.
The toilet was not flushed. Yes. The toilet, was not, flushed. Neither did the towels look washed. Quite frankly, we were disgusted. Naturally, we had to assume *nothing* was cleaned after our discovery. To say the least, we almost opted to sleep in the car and just treat our room as the price of overnight parking.
Another issue was a mystery door that seemingly led to other guests within our room? We could not lock it on our side.
There was no closet, wardrobe, or otherwise hanging space in the room. Minor, but an inconvenience. The soundproofing was less than stellar as well, we could hear others moving around the whole night. Again, minor, but to be noted.
Overall, you’re better off paying for parking somewhere.
