"Bear Cottage is our Happy Place. From the rustic cottage, to the beautiful lake, the animals, fowl, reptiles to the everything nature it is perfect on all levels. A it if futhings to do in the area including hiking, swimming at other lakes ( we do lake chasing), waterfall casing ( so any to see), horseback riding at theGrassyCreek ranch, farmers markets, flea markets……. Hosts are amazing!"

"Overall impressions in these categories: House: Beautiful. Big enough for our group of 13, kids and adults. Kitchen is more than great. Screened porch is better than good. Dining area large enough we could all eat in the same area. Rec room including table tennis was used a lot.Water: Fishing was slow but that's no one's fault. Kayaks were used a lot everyday. The shallow sandy bottom was amazing for our kids to play and swim in. The dock held our two boats easily. Stairs to water are not...

"All kind of birds singing. Very peaceful. The owner was kind enough to spray for mosquitoes which helped slot. Tree branches, brush & logs in water made kayak/ rowboat access very difficult."

"Property is amazing and has everything you could need. There’s 3 kayaks and a row boat for you to use, we used the boat the most and it was perfect for what we wanted to fish for. Location wise you’re close to everything including downtown minocqua, st Germain, and lac du flambeau if you want to check out small northwoods towns. Overall an amazing stay "

"We have rented several houses in the north woods and this is by far our favorite! The house is clean and very comfortable, the yard is fantastic and the slope down to the dock was gradual and easy to navigate. The beach was great for our grandson and the sandy bottom to the lake made it easy to play in the water. We rented the boat and it was perfect! The highlight of our trip was when our son caught a Muskie not far from our shore!!! We did have a problem with a shower and the owners worked...
