"The house is on a very quiet and lovely setting. The “pond room” is the perfect place to enjoy the many species of birds (we saw/heard about 25 different species!) that visit the pond across the road. The house is lovely and cozy, stocked with everything we needed to eat, sleep and shower. You have to close the shower curtain completely, or the water will leak and cause it to “rain” in the dining room. That was the only setback. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would stay again."

"Great location and value. Furnishings are basic but the bed is comfortable and the location is great. Communication is excellent and host fixed an internet issue immediately. I will definitely look forward to returning. Could have a better more accessible coffee maker would be my only suggestion :)"

"This is a wonderful property for anyone who values peace, quiet, and comfort! Sleeping with the windows open, falling asleep to the sounds of the river, and waking up to birdsong is just the best. The property is lovely with a hammock, fire pit, and grill for guest use. The host is very kind and easy to communicate with. Great water pressure, and a Keurig helped make this an A+ stay."

"This house is one of the worst places I have ever stayed. I booked for 13 people and only 2 of the 3 showers worked which they never disclosed to us. The house was a total pigsty. Dirty dishes in the sink. Old food in the fridge. Frozen food in the freezer and the freezer was disgusting with frozen spills that looked like they were there for years. "Near Brattleboro and great restaurants and shopping, but remote for privacy and scenic views. The cottage was quite clean and had everything we needed. Got a bit lost when we were close, and the hosts actually drove out to where we were to help us find it. Comfy bed (we only used one bedroom), well-stocked pantry. Overall wonderful experience. "

"This is a beautiful log cabin! Setting is quiet and picturesque and easy to find. The house is well maintained and has everything you need. We cooked in all nights and enjoyed the firepit in the cool spring weather. On arrival house was immaculate, beds made and towels set out. They provide a book of brochures on what to do in the area. Not to miss- the North River bakery right down the street! They have a great selection and even have prepared family meals to go. We will be staying again!"

"We enjoyed our stay at Fiddler's Rest last summer we booked another weekend this year. The cabin is so thoughtfully decorated and cozy. Well appointed and nice touches like the fresh wildflowers. We brought our dog and enjoyed coffee in the morning on the front porch and a glass of wine by the fire pit in the evenings. Such a nice relaxing getaway. We will definitely be back."

"I enjoyed my stay at Lakefront Orange. Crystal the host greeted me when I arrived. She was very accommodating and friendly. The place itself was ready and clean. Although I had no trouble, just be aware that there are a few steep stairs to navigate to get from the driveway to the entrance. There is a railing and it is well lit. All in all this was a perfect place for me to stay for the 3 days! Thank you."
