Dugout Mountain
Our stay was amazing! The property was so relaxing, the back porch is a great spot to bbq and unwind. We felt right at home and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay a few minutes from Abilene. We will definitely book again!

A getaway in the hills of West Texas
Our cousins reunion found the perfect place to enjoy a comfortable ranch style home with all the essentials and very pleasant hosts. There was room to spread out on a deck and a patio and all kinds of nature to hike, fly kites, play games and take in the big sky of West Texas. Loved it!!!

Monte had everything prepared for us. One of the best VRBO experiences I have ever had. The views were incredible and the area quiet. My wife and son found fossilized shells and different rocks while exploring.

Great place for family members out of town
Wonderful place to stay. Didn't get a chance to explore much due to social obligations. Only 6 minutes from my family's house. So very convenient. I will keep this location saved for future family events.

Beautiful view of the Mesa!
This property was beautiful! The house was cozy and perfect for our family. We walked in to fresh baked cookies on the counter and some cold water in the fridge. The home was very clean and was fully stocked with kitchen supplies and clean bath towels. Plenty of room for our group of 7 adults to sleep. We didn't spend much time outside (only because it was over 100 degrees) while we were there. Their back porch is awesome and full of fun games and a beautiful waterfall. We were in the area for a family reunion and if the reunion happens again next year in Buffalo Gap, we will book here again. Thank you Monte and Sherry for sharing your home and your hospitality! We would love to come back!

Peaceful country oasis
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the cabin. We had everything we needed! The home was very clean and comfortable and we enjoyed the beautiful view with our coffee in the morning. My family enjoyed exploring the grounds, visiting the fort and playing games outside. We would be happy to book again; it was lovely!

This property was a great getaway out of town, but not too far. It was extremely tidy and clean and the owners added special little touches that made it seem very personal. The view was especially lovely. I would stay here again if in the area.

Beautiful and relaxing
My family and I were very pleased with our stay. The views surrounding the property were beautiful and relaxing. It almost had a colorado mountain feel. The weather was cool which made it better. We really appreciated the pumpkin roll and coffee provided.

Weekend Getaway
Had an amazing time with family and friends. The views were beautiful and it was so peaceful. We loved the hiking around the grounds. Easy to get to and the house was very clean and spacious. We will definitely be booking this place again.

Such a nice change of pace from the busy streets of Abilene but close enough to go out to eat and come back. If we wanted to cook we could have but we didn’t have to this trip. We are ready to go back and share it with our children.

Enjoyed Immensely
I cannot say enough good things about this property. The house was spotless and well-appointed. The kitchen was obviously stocked by someone who actually cooks and had nice pots and pans and every utensil and dish you could possibly want or need. It's a quiet and very peaceful spot in the country, but close enough to town. The kids and grand kids loved to hike the trails and explore. Beautiful scenic views day and night. I highly recommend!

Wonderful Place
We had a great stay. It was so quiet and peaceful. The only downfall is we felt we did not spend enough time there! We were there for my son’s wedding so we were busy with activities and did not get to really enjoy the peaceful and beautiful surroundings. I loved all of the fall decorations and my son took the cookies for hisself. If we have to be in that area for anything, we will definitely be staying with you!
