Wish we had known.
We mostly enjoyed. We had one trash can in 1/2 bathroom. The floor was gritty with sand. It would have been nice to know the Lake was being drained so owners could make repairs.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. I had found this cute cabin several years ago but hadn’t had a chance to stay until now. We absolutely loved it and hope to stay again soon. Everything was very clean and well stocked. Thank you for making it such an enjoyable visit!

Great escape from the busy-ness of life
We really enjoyed our stay at this wonderful little cabin located right on Lake Hawkins. The private dock was perfect. We rented a boat and spent three wonderful days on the water. We lucked out and hit the sweet spot with perfect weather (mid 80's) and minimal other boaters since we stayed during the week. The cabin was a perfect size for the two of us and was well cared for. The lake is fairly small and we couldn't explore the north end due to stumps/trunks/branches sticking out of the water. So we kept the boat on the south end and enjoyed the peace and quiet and forgot about metroplex life for a few days. Watching the sun set from the middle of the lake was a treat!

The MOST relaxing weekend trip!
To start, our place was absolutely perfect and you can literally walk in with just your clothes and the basic of meals and be setup. The dock is just across the little “street” in front of the house and was the most enjoyable part of the stay. The water is beautiful, the area is clean and well kept. If you walk around you’ll see plenty of deer and wildlife and the fishing was great! It’s a 12 minute walk to the best Italian restaurant you’ll ever eat at (in Texas). We had cell service only about 20% of the time, a storm knocked the WiFi out for awhile and even before that service was sketchy. We didn’t mind that, at all! The listing and reviews mention it so we were prepared. I’d definitely recommend taking a screenshot of the address and lock code to get into the house, before arriving! Otherwise you’ll panicking when your app doesn’t open lol. It was better than described and better than the pictures. We loved our time there and will be back!

Lovely and relaxing.
So nice to get away from the city. Quiet, relaxing. A herd of deer ran up the hill next to the cottage. Beautiful and exciting. The lake water is so clear. Our cottage was cozy and the mattress on the bed was very comfie. I love the curtains in the bedroom. Nice color. Thanks so much! Can you come decorate my home?😁

Perfect Weekend!
We so enjoyed our weekend at Hideaway at Hawkins. It was the perfect spot for us to explore, relax and enjoy the outdoors! The lake house had everything we needed inside and out! With the lake and dock out the front and woods behind, this home was a delight. The kitchen was well-appointed. WiFi strength was not impressive, but that’s a part of the deal with many rural properties. Owners were immediately responsive to questions and/or problems. We were lucky to view the eclipse from the dock. Nice front porch and back deck. This was exactly what we were hoping for when we rented

Cozy Cabin on the Lake
Our stay was completely relaxing and peaceful. The perfect little get-a-way to the lake. The cabin had everything we needed and was beyond comfortable. Just steps away from the fire pit and the lake itself, created views and atmosphere that are hard to find anywhere else. Communication with the hosts was fast and easy. Definitely appreciated thier fast and detailed responses. If i had to give it 1 critique/suggestion it would be to have an axe/hatchet for the firewood and to keep the firewood covered/tarped. Once that wood gets wet, you wont be having a fire for days. Other than that, our stay was overall amazing and would definitely return. Thank you again 😁

The Hawkin's Hideaway "Get-away"
