Nightmare cabin! for me and family!
Had to make a complaint? Filthy conservatory, cobwebs all over the place parquet flooring, loose and my partner fill kitchen tap loose, freezer door handle broke, settee broke, shower handle, window, door, problems. Bedroom problems and the furniture in poorly condition. Nightmare holiday

Great retreat to get away
The chalet is very welcoming and offers all that you need to have a lovely stay and be independent if you wanted to. The site has been renovated and everything is in good working order. This is a great get away at a very good price

If the cleaners had been in they must of stayed for about 30seconds hair over the bedroom cabinets the bed looked like someone had just got out of it dead spiders hanging off the ceiling cobwebs everywhere broken arm on the sette the sun house is falling apart half the window catches missing and the patio is a death trap big gap between patio and property we stayed for about 20 minutes the next time the patio table is cleaned will be the first the place is the Pitt’s

shocking
shocking, not ready on time, very hard to communicate with the host and with vrbo. They left us with an young kid,waiting in the middle of nowhere. House was still dirty, the lights in the bathroom not working. Was bank holiday weekend and everything was fully book in the area, that's the only reason with decided to stay there

We needed to change bungalows, but that was arranged quickly. Could be cleaner. Double bed has springs, which you feel. Had a great time.

Chalet park is great I was just disappointed with the general cleanliness and functionality of the property. Outside was overgrown and messy so couldn't sit out, some areas inside definitely not cleaned properly as found toothpaste spit down the front of the basin on arrival and behind doors dirty so we cleaned it first. The bathroom door doesn't close, no instructions for using TV, microwave or the fire (it was cold all day on Tuesday). Just would have been better to walk in to a clean warm place but honestly we still had a lovely time. Thanks

Lovely location
Had no real contact with the owner, but access was easy enough with a key safe number. The outer part of the chalet (the extension) was quite run down, and could have been cleaner, windows ricketty and did not feel secure. The main part of the chalet was mainly clean and nicely decorated. I did feel the need to fully clean out the cutlery drawer as looked dirty with bits in, also the sofa was not the cleanest (or the most comfortable). However, the site was lovely and quiet, with lovely views. We found a beautiful beach nearby - between Tywyn and Aberdovey, which was perfect for the dogs. Overall , a lovely holiday.

I liked the quality and the completeness of the kitchen appliances. We had everything we needed. Something that may be improved: the master bedroom mattress. There are some minor damages in the house, we reported to the manager who was always very kind. But, in general our stay here was great and peaceful.

Nice and quiet location
Thank you to all the guests for giving honest reviews. Informed means prepared. The level of cleanliness was not so great. But I brought some cleaning stuff and in one hour we cleaned the property to our standard. On the positive side - the location is beautiful and really quiet(if the noisy neighbors are away). The nearby town of Tywyn has everything one needs for the holiday: supermarkets, the beach, and even the cinema, one of the oldest in Wales. The images of the property are accurate. Advice for the holidaymaker, please contact your host before arrival about the property number and code for the key locket. We had some trouble checking in, but the people on the farm were really helpful. We sorted it out in the end. There is free wifi there. Overall we had a relaxing stay at this place.

Disgustingly Dirty
Disgustingly Dirty The property requires a deep clean before it is fit letting. Not only was it not cleaned from the previous occupant, it clearly has not been cleaned for a long time. The bed linen was from the previous occupant and had not been changed. Old stains, hairs, and a dog paw print. The bedside table was covered in hair from someone shaving or plucking eyebrows. Work surfaces had not been cleaned there were crumbs and salt from the previous occupant. We asked for our money back as we did not want to stay, we were refused and offered the money for the cleaning spray. We had to go out and buy complete bed set including new mattress protector as we really did not want to sleep there. We then came back and spent the evening cleaning. I hope this review saves other people from disappointment.

Could do with a little updating as the mattresses were a little uncomfortable having said that the property was lovely and the site was good. It was a shame there wasnt more walking from the site itself as we had dogs and struggled to access public footpaths easily from the site. Although I marked low for communication with the property manager this is a little unfair as we didnt need to contact them. Would fully recomend this property for a short break

You get what you pay for.
Worth the money. beautiful quiet location. It's not as modern or modernised as described, could be cleaner but overall it was a pleasant stay. The bathroom could be a little more private, the cabin directly behind-above ours could see straight in to the bathroom, there were no blinds on the window to make it more private, lucky enough there was nobody in the cabin behind/above was empty during our stay. 1st night was cold, there was only electric heaters to warm the cabin, took a while to heat up but it was ok after they were on for a few hours. Overall for the price it was a nice few days away, nobody bothered us, it was dog friendly and 5 mins from the nearest town. We'd definitely stay on that site again, there were other cabins there that looked more modern and more well presented, maybe we'd stay in one of those next time.

Lovely Area to Stay
Beautiful area really near to Aberdovey perfect if you want to get away from it all and all the stresses of life. The chalet was really modern and clean and was really well-equipped.

We had a great time here. The local beaches at Aberdyfi are fantastic and this was the perfect size chalet for us. WiFi patchy and shame there's no real outside space to sit/play and BBQ's not allowed on site. Other than that it was perfect. Thanks a lot.

Great location
We stayed 3 nights and didn't want to leave. The location is perfect and accomodation was nice. Few lightbulbs missing and only one toilet roll for a family for 3 nights, but those are minor details. Also, I learnt to use an induction hob which i have never used before lol. Kept me busy for a while. There was no mobile signal but the internet was fair for contacting family and letting loved ones know we arrived safely;) The manager was friendly and very helpful. Really enjoyed our stay. The site is cosy and not over populated. Perfect for us. Would highly recommend:)

Erw Porthor Chalet 8
The chalet was perfect. It had everything we needed for our 3 night stay and was just right for exploring the area in and around Tywyn. The location of the chalet park is great, and the neighbours were all nice and friendly. The chalet has all the necessary amenities and appears to have been refurbished not too long ago. Very happy with everything, and would recommend it without hesitation. (Note: wifi and mobile connection are not readily available in the park, but this is not a problem if you actually prefer to be out of reach for a bit)

Perfect for what we wanted
We stayed for a long weekend in June. Four of us and 3 dogs, so we rented 2 cabins. The cabins were ideal as a base to explore the lovely beaches and lakes. We enjoyed the area and the tranquility.

Good value for money, but a few problems.
Generally we were happy with the chalet: rooms mainly a good size (bathroom a bit small), quite cosy, and worked well for our dog. A few things, though: - We didn't get a chalet number; fortunately with the aid of a farm worker we were able to work it out. - It would be good to include the owner's contact number on the main confirmation message. (No mobile signal, but there is a pay phone on the site.) - The key safe keypad is fiddly; we nearly gave up on it. A neighbour on the site was able to help us get it to work, and said we weren't the first to have a problem. Also, you need a torch to see it if arriving from twilight on. - It would be good to have details in the chalet about how to turn the hot water on - it took us a day to find the inconspicuous switch in one of the bedrooms! - The w-ifi signal, which seems to be for the whole area, was too weak to be usable. (TV reception via satellite was OK, though)

Bad communication and mis information on listing
Location wise it’s a perfect place. Communication from property manager was so bad as I was not told the property number until I called them. The property is in valley side and no mobile reception so you had to drive all the to Tywyn city just to call the property manager about the number and key collection. Also there is no free WiFi, bath room towels and toilet rolls provided which it clearly says it is provided in the Expedia listing. Overall I will give it 2stars. Really bad service.
