"House needed a good deep clean for spider webs and dust. But general level of cleanliness re kitchen bedding etc was OK. Great location. Fantastic garden but remember to note it is a shared garden. We kept our dog on long lead. Neighbours 2 dogs and 2 children were not !!!! Their dog poo left on our areas. Fence needed please as this really impcted on our stay"

"We absolutely loved our stay and would return in a heartbeat. Great location, amazing home and surrounded by great places to visit. I loved the book that the hosts have created where they answer a million on one questions and provide some great recommendations. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this dog friendly, family friendly and well being friendly holiday home!"

"Insgesamt ein sehr schöner Urlaub. Besonders positiv ist natürlich der wunderschöne Garten und der Wintergarten der an die Küche anschliesst wo wir sehr häufig gesessen haben. Das Cottage ist ein altes Gemäuer mit Charme. Bad mit guter Dusche, Betten (Matratze/Kopfkissen) sehr gut. TV haben wir nicht genutzt. Die zugeordneten Parkplätze sind ebenfalls positiv hervorzuheben. Dazu große Garage (haben wir mal reingeschaut). Zum Negativen: Das Wohnzimmer sieht auf den Bildern hell aus ...ist es...

"This place is not about the cleanliness or hygiene, it about getting back into the natural world, seeing Mother Nature at her best, taking advantage of the lovely wilderness. It was so peaceful and tranquil, the sound of the stream next to us was amazing! Would definitely recommend! Currently looking for my own hut I’ve lived it so much!"

"Lovely cosy cottage. Well equiped and spotlessly clean. Lovely location overlooking allotments with a friendly scarecrow. No parking in front of cottage (,parking in layby 50yrds up the road), which is a minor inconvenience but manageable. Would stay again if looking for a quiet & peaceful weekend."

"Lovely lodge in an excellent location for exploring the Lake District. The site the lodge itself is located on was lovely, peaceful, well kept and litter free. The lodge was well equipped with towels, bedding, kitchen equipment, tea towels, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets to name a few. The parking at the lodge I found fine and we drive a Ford focus. We parked through the gate outside of the lodge and just kept the car in first gear for safety just incase (more for our reassurance) the...
