"First, let me say this is not a cabin. The listing was a bit misleading if you are expecting a cabin, this is a townhome. That being said, it was lovely! Overall clean and well kept. The only thing we didn't use was the whirlpool tub as it didn't look clean. If you plan to do any cooking, the supplies are pretty basic (no baking sheets) but for stovetop cooking we were all set. None of that is said to dissuade people just to be informative. We would DEFINITELY stay here again!"

"We knew we loved the area and had stayed in another cabin previously but this one was far nicer. Upon arrival we could tell the property was cared for and much cleaner. We all loved the cute fall decor that gave us all the homey vibes. The kitchen had a great selection of cookware. We will definitely be back and chowing this property!"

"A great all-around experience. Lot's of room to relax, a nice big kitchen with a breakfast bar, and all a stone's throw from Starved Rock. I loved the balcony off the bedroom and the jacuzzi. The Grand Bear lodge has a great bar as well. Great restaurant options between Utica, Peru and Ottawa, or venture over to the Starved Rock state park lodge restaurant."

"The host for this is lovely and so very accommodating. We had a few concerns early on that were very quickly taken care of. She called to let us know all the things that we could do in the area also, which was much appreciated! We had a great hike at Wildcat Canyon and enjoyed several meals out and some good shopping. Grand Bear as a resort was not the friendliest as far as staff goes, but our experience with this VRBO was wonderful. Highly recommend :-)"
