"My husband and I so enjoyed our stay in this cozy cabin, and the rich history of it was not lost on us! This is truly a one of a kind stay! I do think that solid curtains in the bedrooms would do better to block out the yard/street light and make for better rest. Overall, it was a wonderful stay!"

The petting zoo was such a beautiful addition and was a highlight of the stay! The hot tub was great for the cold November mornings and evenings. "My Sons and I had a wonderful stay at “The Big Rock” property. We woke up to deer eating the crab apples every morning. The large rock is a perfect place to just sit and enjoy the pond and scenery. We caught plenty of bluegill and a few small bass in the pond. There was also a little pontoon and kayak the kids had a blast using. We will hopefully be returning soon. Lance was by far the best Host I have ever encountered. Anything we needed or any question were answered right away.."

"The cabin is very nice, clean, comfortable and spacious. It is in the middle of the mountains surrounded by nature. Before you arrive make sure to print out all the information that the owner sends you. There is no cell phone or internet reception in the area. If you arrive at night it can be very difficult to find the cabin. It is on the left and the entrance is a little difficult to see. You will see 839 Francis carved into a wooden sign, but in the dark it is almost invisible. Also keep in mind that due to the destruction caused by Hurricane Helen, there are several roads closed and you will have to use detours that will delay your route to the cabin. The cabin has everything you might need. Just bring your personal belongings, toiletries and food. Also laundry detergent if you want to wash clothes. We were very happy and pleased with our stay. They have movies for the kids, books, games. And the fireplace warms up the living room nicely. We had a very nice and pleasant time with our family. We will definitely return at some point in the future."
