"My best friend of 50 years and I spent four days at this lovely house. The hosts were wonderful; answered any questions we had very promptly. We are both in our 70s and the stairs were more of a challenge than I had anticipated from the pictures, but we managed. The house is lovely, the grounds are great and the fishing was awesome. We would definitely recommend this or a quiet getaway, especially if you like to fish."

"We picked this place to meet up with my 20-something son from DC and their 80-something grandparents (my parents) from the Springfield area. The layout was exceptional-only 4 steps to get in, and my parents could go to their bedroom, kitchen and living area on the same level, while the boys could hang out downstairs watching TV or playing Air Hockey. It worked perfectly for us for the weekend."

"We were in St. Louis to see our son in a show at college. This home was fine. Just missing some little niceties, like kleenex in the bathrooms and towels in the kitchen. Also, it would be nice if the back door had keyless entry since parking is out back. Otherwise, bed was comfortable and there was a nice kitchen and dining table."

"We really enjoyed our stay in Waterloo. The cabin is well equipped, clean and very comfortable. Because it is a cabin, the windows are small so there is less natural light, but the place offers good privacy. All entrance access and directions were clear and accurate. "

"We could not have asked for a better place to stay while in St. Louis. Three comfy bedrooms, two full baths with a half bath downstairs. Decor was nice and updated, comfy places to sit and a full dining room was nice. Laundry available, kitchen was very nice and stocked with pans & tableware. "I'm 83 years old and found the steps to bit narrow and steep, but I finally figured it out. There was one hand towel that had been used, folded up and put back, but when my son opened it, it was filthy in the center. As a suggestion, you might plug in a multiple outlet socket in each bedroom for charging cell phones, laptops,watches, etc. Overall, we enjoyed the house."
