Beautiful location!

We enjoyed our stay! There was lots of good hiking all around and even on the property. We enjoyed sitting by the river. The host was very helpful with an issue we had.

Perfectly Secluded Romantic Getaway

This was everything we wanted and more in a honeymoon. The cabin was cozy, clean, and romantic. We wanted somewhere secluded with limited cell service (the WiFi was excellent but we switched our phones off). We were able to enjoy ourselves and our time with limited distractions. We can’t wait to return!

Bring Your Scouting Skills

This is a great little cabin and we enjoyed our stay. Richard was a great host. Just be prepared to build your own fire to keep warm as there is no central heat.

Autumn in the woods

Feel like miles away but actually right near the road-easy access across brook. Fun wood heating. Excellent owner occupied (adjacent) property. Plenty of privacy.

Peaceful

Richard was at the cottage to greet us. His property is very beautiful and serene. He is very knowledgeable about Vermont life We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the cottage and the campfires we had at night. I couldn’t have found a better place to stay to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary.

Family vacation

We felt welcomed from the minute we arrived. Richard is an incredible host and his love of the property comes across. We had everything we needed and were very comfortable for our week long stay. Even though the recent rain had washed out part of the driveway, Richard made sure to help us carry our things up the short walk to the house and he was hard at work fixing the washout. There is plenty to do in the area but even if it’s a little grey and rainy like it was for us, the wood stove keeps the camp nice and cozy and was perfect for staying inside reading and playing board games. We could easily see ourselves going again in the future!

Relaxing Week

Another great stay at this beautiful property. We had a lot of fun exploring the surrounding areas and the property itself. We always find something new every time. There’s never time to get bored here. Lots of fun family time: campfires, lovely dinners and game nights. I already have a running list of places to visit, trails to hike and things to do right at the house for our next trip!

Perfect Home Base for our VT vacations!

This was our second visit to this beautiful property, and we had another fantastic experience. Richard takes such great care of the house and surrounding property. The house has everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. I love the vintage convection toaster oven—it doesn’t heat up the whole house, and cooks food so quickly! They don’t make quality appliances like that anymore. The property has great hiking trails, is beautifully landscaped and the river is a refreshing spot to enjoy on a hot day. There is also a lot to do in the area, if you do decide to leave the property for the day. More places to hike, waterfalls, antique shops and sugar houses are all relatively close by.

Great stay

It was a cute little cabin tucked . We stayed while it was 90+ degrees for a few days in a row and Richard made sure to keep us in the loop to keep the cabin cool. And it surprisingly stayed at a good temperature. The kids had a good time exploring the property.

Unique Location

Although the stream was devastated by the Vermont floods, it was still enjoyable to relax and watch pass by. Several opportunities to explore the area for fishing and hiking. Host was very accommodating and attentive. The wood burning stove made some of best vacation breakfasts ever. Great vacation!

Lots of Natural Entertainment included

This has a relaxing creek with chairs and a walking path. The owner has marked trails through this property. He’s always available for questions and suggestions. He’s the nicest host we have ever met.

Perfect Summer Vacation

My family absolutely loved our stay. Richard has put so much love and attention into the property. Usually on vacation, we go off on day trips and only return to have dinner and sleep. But at this property, I felt like I was missing out if I left the property! There is so much to do! We enjoyed hiking and exploring the nicely blazed trails. We picked blueberries, found newts and frogs, and played tetherball. Campfires and s’mores at night were great also. Communication with the owner was very easy. Richard was available to answer any questions and gave many good suggestions. I would definitely love to return to this beautiful cabin in the future.

Outstanding

Richard was an amazing host. We stayed during the floods that were happening in July and he was right on top of everything. Our safety was his number 1 priority and went above and beyond to show us that. We will absolutely be coming back for a 3rd time.

Disconnect and reconnect

This is the perfect place to get to get away from the electronics and reconnect as a family! We spent the week hiking, visiting local museums, playing board games, and enjoying camp fires. Richard was a great host and offered great recommendations on hikes and a local swimming spot. The kids enjoyed the tetherball and golf on the grounds. We had a great stay!

This property was just as described and absolutely beautiful. Host was very kind and helpful.

It was late before we could arrive and the host had a warm cozy fire in the stove waiting for us. Home was clean and had everything we needed.

Quaint, comfortable, relaxing cabin in the woods by a calming mountain babbling brook.

Our stay at your mountain cabin was fantastic! It was just what we we hoping for and more. We so appreciated the quiet setting, all of the offerings of nature surrounding us, our “personal world”, the coziness amplified by the wood stoves, and the icing on the cake, the babbling mountain stream. Our only regret was that our stay came to an end too quickly. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin with us!

Honeymoon

It was an amazing experience. The cabin is absolutely beautiful and the surroundings are peaceful. We were there for our honeymoon and wouldn't change anything. Richard was an amazing host and is extremely sweet. We left so relaxed and wanting to return immediately.
