Aesthetically pleasing hotel HOWEVER, as soon as you pass the reception the energy is horrible. The staff behind the bar are miserable, unaccommodating & make it seem like everything is a chore for them. As my partner & I were staying for 5 days we thought we’d make an effort, like we always do to make conversation & get to know the staff we will be seeing daily but we weren’t met with the same energy at all. We never received a smile from anyone other than the reception staff which is quite unprofessional seeing as they’re in the hospitality industry. I always felt uncomfortable when I was in the bar area sometimes I never even wanted to order a drink as I felt I was asking for too much. There was a woman whose name I never got but she’s an elder woman with glasses (late 40s early 50s), she felt it necessary to have a constant attitude along with a woman named Janeen both women shouldn’t be in hospitality at all, they have no customer service whatsoever. I watched the elder woman give her “best” service to 3 men who dismissed her & never said please or thank you at breakfast yet we constantly showed gratitude and got not even half decent customer service. My partner absolutely loved their ginger punch but a few times we were told there was no ginger when I personally saw with my own eyes another staff member take the ginger out the fridge & hand it to either the elder woman or Janeen. There was one girl behind the bar, Ashanti who shone bright & nothing was ever too much for
