We enjoyed our week long stay here as the host/guest provided easy check-in/out instructions and provided everything we needed for our stay. We really enjoyed our stay. My only disappointment (minor) is I wish the cost was slightly less during the winter as the VB area is not visited much during winter months. Other than that, great stay and experience.

Great place!
Very clean and overall a great place to stay with our dog. The beach is a short walk away, which was great for taking walks in the morning. Appreciated the fenced in front yard. We stayed in January and the area was very quiet. Would definitely stay again.

This place is the best place my family has ever stayed. The location is great, the place is so homey and the host is fantastic. She replies quickly to any questions and is so thoughtful and the place just feels like home and is cozy. This was our second time staying there and already booked our next visit!

Great place to rent in norh end
The duplex was charming and clean. Short walk to the beach. Enjoyed sitting on the fenced in yard ejoying the sun. Its very nice to stay at this end of Va beach where the traffic is lighter.We throughly enjoyed our stay. Our host was easy to communicate with! I will rent from Angie again.

Wonderful Getaway
The host thought of everything! This place was super cute. Quiet part of the neighborhood provided a ton of needed r and r. The host provided the nicest basket with all of the items we didn't know we needed but they came in so handy! Everything was just perfect!

excellent location, great for dogs
We have stayed at other properties in Virginia Beach, and this is our favorite by far. Even though it is an older property and could use a couple of minor maintenance tweaks, it checked the boxes for what we enjoy - peace and quiet, easy one block walk to the beach, comfortable beds, close to First Landing Park and easy driving distance to restaurants and stores. The screened porch was a delight and the dogs loved the fenced yard. The welcome basket was great - high quality dog toys and Pepperidge Farm snacks, plus some useful items like laundry detergent. This will definitely be our choice when returning to Virginia Beach!

Ocean Doodles - Our Preferred Place to Stay
Doodles is a marvelous place to stay in Virginia Beach. It's clean, quiet and close to the beach. Angie, the owner, provides ALL the necessities for a relaxing time at the beach: beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, beach cart ( to haul the other stuff to the beach :) ) and a kitchen with all the tools to prepare anything from scrambled eggs to a holiday dinner. There are also a couple surprises for both the visitors and their pets. The beach is only a ten minute walk away (no streets to cross) and you can drive to the boardwalk area in 30 minutes.

Felt like home
The property owner had thought of just about everything you would need and even games and activities for rainy days. We stayed with our two large dogs and they had plenty of room. The property was very clean and close to first landing State Park and the VA Beach attractions. Very short walk to the beach! We would love to stay here again someday!

Perfect beach hideaway!
So glad I stumbled on this gem of a location! If you want to avoid crowds and “tourist traps” this is the spot for you. The house is well maintained, clean, and has all that you could need. Quiet neighborhood, and an extremely short walk to the beach. Angie responded quickly when we needed help, even when it was because we didn’t read her instructions onsite. (Sorry Angie!!). Will definitely look to book this one again the next time we are coming to Virginia Beach.

Angie’s beach homes are the best. She is so kind and helpful and adds little touches to make your trip feel special. The outdoor shower is fantastic and the screened in porch is our home away from home. Could not ask for a better beach home and we already booked our Summer 2025 trip ❤️

June 6-June 9.
It was wonderful. The house was as advertised. It worked appropriately for my coworker, and I, to hold training with our staff. We were able to separate and have some peace and quiet as well as work and larger group.(4-5?people). My dogs loved it, they loved being able to go out into the front yard in the mornings while I was getting my shoes on and finished getting dressed they loved the screened in porch, and of course they loved their nice long walks up from 83rd to 86th St. It was an excellent property

Amazing location, perfect house for family of 6 and dog!
This house was absolutely perfect for our family of 6 and our dog! Everything was just right. The little touches from Angie were what really made the whole better. The nice doggie care package (she still plays with the lemonade toy!!), shampoo, dish soap and laundry detergent... just the little things that we didn't have to worry about. And of course, the location was great. It's a nice quiet location, with extremely quick and easy access to the beach. To top if off, there is a shed filled with ALL the beach things you would need (beach wagon, umbrellas & boogie boards). The kids loved the outdoor shower too, hah! Thank you Angie for the great vacation!!
