"My stay here was nice, but I suggest arriving there during the day, it's very dark there at night. The place was very nice and tropical nature feel. It was clean but smells like cedar, if that bothers you. Very comfy bed too. I stayed two nights with no problems. The area is dark and nothing around. Very secluded and a little eery when staying alone but it is very close to the volcano which is why I came! All in all great stay! "

"This was an ideal location for us and close to where we wanted to go on the Big Island. The room was compact and had everything we needed. The property is charming and was especially amazing at night with laser lights twinkling all over the gardens. Plenty of off road parking was a nice bonus. Would definitely recommend to others!"

"Living room was extremely hot in the afternoon. Parking is very limited. Right off of a main road. Underneath neighbors pounded on the floor if us heavy set people walked too hard. My daughter slipped and fell and was crying so they pounded again scaring us. Shower had no pressure. The rooms were nice and cool with portable ac units, beds comfy. Owner was very kind and great with communication. The ring on the door made us a little uncomfortable but it’s understandable to have. Wouldn’t choose...

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the studio. It was lovely, clean and spacious, with a well equipped kitchen. Hilo was a good base for exploring Volcano National Park and the east coast of the island. We appreciated being in a quiet neighborhood but having a car was essential. There is a bus stop nearby but the bus only runs once an hour."

"My family of 5, including 3 kids age 6-11, loved our stay here. We greatly appreciated the outdoor items to borrow such as boogie boards, cooler and picnic blankets. Having AC in one of the bedrooms was so nice! The location was great and wasn’t far from anything we did around Hilo. Even though in a neighborhood, it feels very secluded and in your own little tropical forest. We stayed in the Gecko and Volcano rooms. I feel this is a best option when you are traveling with friends and/or another couple to have your own spaces ... but still in the same building/property. Communication with the host was great!"

"We have done many VRBO's & Air B&B's and this was by far the best place we have stayed. Absolutely immaculate & comfortable with no amenities missing. You have a gorgeous backyard with a stream fed goldfish pond, seating area, jacuzzi, bbq, and snorkeling equipment. Great location, five minutes to Hilo and central to all the exploring you want to do. Far better than the pictures can convey. If we ever go back to Hilo, this is where we will stay!"
