"The hotel and restaurant are wonderful. The location is remote so cell phones have a hard time but the rooms have TVs and WiFi. The Restaurant is amazing lots of history the menu includes some great southern food, Free Range Venison with hunter sauce is one of my favs. The location is beside Cross Creek a location to sit and watch a sunset before going to the bar. Be sure to look in the library it is something lots of books, stuffed animals and a canoe. This is a piece of history."

"The decor is beautiful, beds comfy and amenities were just right. It's obvious that the apartment is older but very well updated. Plenty of toilet paper, paper towels and a little cleaning supplies to help clean throughout our stay. Could use more than 4 plates/bowls/forks/spoons... And towels... Was hoping for a broom but not provided. Nice to have the TV in the living room but could have used one in a bedroom when traveling with children. Pool was right across the quiet little street. Laundry...

"Cozy Cottage truly lives up to it's name. Located on a peaceful 28 acre lake with a private backyard and covered dock. We started our mornings on the lake shore in comfy lounge chairs under a large umbrella, fished from the dock durng the day and enjoyed the beautiful stars at night. The cottage was comfy (3 adults and 1 dog) and had everything we needed and more in the well stocked kitchen. We enjoyed all the extra amenities provided throughout the cottage and property. "I recently stayed at this VRBO and had a great experience. The house was exactly as shown in the photos—exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The host was very responsive and communicated well. "We were not there much during the day due to activities we were involved in for three days but the evening was relaxing and quiet. The mules and cows were very friendly and quiet. They love treats. Bigger stores were not too far away but we were not there to shop. "

"The apartment was very nice and comfortable for our stay. The owner clearly communicated and check in and out was super easy. We went to Mill Creek Farm the retirement home for horses which was so wonderful and I highly recommend. We also really enjoyed a brewery and winery near by (about 10 min drive) Daft Cow and Beaker. The coffee shop I'd recommend is Doxa (about a 5 min drive). Downtown Alachua itself was a little disappointing. It's unfortunate that there aren't more shops and restaurants...
