Great Pool, Poor Overall Quality
We’d give the stay 1.5/5 if allowed. The home provided the essentials: clean beds and bathrooms upon arrival, a functioning air conditioner, and a refreshing pool we enjoyed daily (this is the reason for rounding up to 2/5). However, the property shows signs of neglect and needs more thorough upkeep. Cleaning appeared surface-level—crumbs remained on counters, walls were dirty, and windows were smudged from previous guests. Several furnishings were damaged, including the couch, a drawer to the master bedframe, and the entertainment center looks like it’s going to snap under the TVs weight.The outdoor area was a bigger concern. The deck had overgrown weeds, cushions unusable due to bugs, an active wasp issue (3 nests)—one guest was stung. We noticed rodent droppings in the garage and suspect rodents may be living under the deck. Parts of the fence were falling apart, and piles of scrap wood lined the side of the garage, possibly contributing to the rodent issue. One highlight was the customer service from Grand Welcome. They responded quickly and delivered requested items fast—silverware, cleaning supplies, and toilet paper. That said, if the VRBO was given proper attention, these basics should’ve been stocked before our arrival. Overall, we were grateful to receive the minimum of clean sheets, a roof over our heads, a pool, and faithful air conditioning, but for the price we paid and the quality of our experience, if we had to do it again, we would not stay here.
