ALOT of TLC needed
Long review so please bear with me: let's start first with the pros:
*large home with 6 bedrooms the "7th" bedroom is the front sitting room with a futon, but no door for privacy
*clean linens and towels provided
*Pool - not heated seasonal only -weather was cool
Cons:
*First and foremost, there was absolutely NO cleaning done prior to our arrival the refrigerator was full of the previous owners/renter's food and spillage that needed to have a deep clean (which we did), multiple bugs/insects present in the home namely large flies that were coming from the garage that had mounds of garbage that was not thrown out for a while
The general home needed ALOT of TLC - missing bulbs, knobs to dressers, loose spindles and handles on the stairs, large spiders and cobwebs present in the home. One of the air conditioners in the bedrooms was not blowing cool air upon closer looking the filter was caked with dust which needed to be cleared out. We spent the first few hours cleaning the home prior to the majority of the family's arrival.
*Safety-most of the doors towards the front of the home did not lock or close properly they were easily open to the street which was a major safety concern for obvious reasons
*Hot tub heated full, but the filter was very dirty and had an odd smell that needed to be aired out
We reached out to the owner with our concerns and pictures immediately, the following day he promised to refund $500 cleaning fee which he did upon completion of our trip.
