"The cabin was in impeccable shape, wnd provided just enough room for me and two friends to spend the weekend comfortably. About 45 minutes to the Thorton gap entrance of Shenandoah and the cabin is about 30 minutes down the river itself. This cabin provides a reclusive getaway while still being near some of Virginia’s biggest attractions"

"We had a wonderful stay at Deer Haven. The house was clean and very comfortable. The views were amazing, and the hot tub was perfect after long days of hiking. Nice outside deck seating and interior seats to allow for maximum views enjoyment! Would definitely rent this house again if we return to the area."

"We had a great time getting away and having a secluded, private and peaceful place to stay. We drove around Shenandoah’s Sky Line Dr and came back to amazing weather and spent a few hours in the hot tub. "This is a comfortable cabin that has everything you need. It is set back off the road and is very peaceful and quiet. The porch is so inviting for morning coffee or a late afternoon beverage. If you are exploring Shenandoah National Park, this cabin is SO close. There is a shortcut to Hwy 211 via a gravel access road (Jewell Hollow Access Road) that saves a lot of time in getting to the park. You will find it on Google Maps. "The place is off the beaten path but well worth it. Serenity surrounds you. We went to SNP to hike Old Rag Mountain and were so thankful for the hot tub at the end of the day. It was perfect. The house is clean, we ate all our meals at the there and it is equipped with all the basic pots and dishes you will need. Fireplace was awesome too. Highly recommend. "

"I gave 4 stars on cleanliness due to hallway floors being very dirty. No white socks remained. Communications were horrible due to phone being very static filled. Master bedroom lamp was broken. "The first thing we noticed was how beautiful the place is as we drove up the driveway. We arrived a bit late and the clerk got us checked in knowing we were worn out from the trip. The room was wonderful and bed was extremely comfortable. The other thing i need to mention is the restaurant in the basement which was a speakeasy. The food was absolutely second to none. We found a hidden gem and will be returning in the future!"
