Quaint basement lodging
This was perfect for my stay. It was just me but I could see a small family staying as well. There is a queen bed, roll away cot, an air mattress for sleeping. The full kitchen was great, and with the grocery story across the street I never needed to eat out. Check in and check out where easy and communication went well.

Convention Center Stay
Location, Location, Location! Quick walk to convention center. Safeway across the street and lots of restaurant choices. Charming Neighborhood. This property could be called "Gorgeous" if the host would spend a few hundred dollars on the interior and do some cleanup at the entry. The entry is dirty and trash was left out of the bins a couple of the days I was there. The porch light is very dirty and dim. The bed linens are tired and shabby (not in a chic way). The mattress is squeaky and pretty uncomfortable. The kitchen needs a new set of flatware. I only found 3 spoons. A new cover for the sofa would make a huge improvement. I was there solo, so I didn't need additional bed space, but there is one bed, a sofa, a roll out in the closet and I think an air mattress. This place with a few updates/upgrades could be as listed. Even without spending $ on the linens etc., cleaning the entry should be done immediately. It's simple and cheap.

Several Problems - Mostly Corrected
The location is fantastic. The home had issues, however. It's a basement unit. At our arrival the refrigerator did not work; it was plugged in and lit up but would not chill. It smelled terrible and the owner was aware because a small refrigerator was provided on the counter beside it. Furthermore, we soon discovered the washer/dryer combo did not work. (It was unplugged so the owner knew this as well.) The owner made no mention of these problems in advance. After I inquired I was told they'd be replaced two days into our stay, so we went without these appliances with no notice beforehand. The queen bed was broken away from the headboard. There is no pull-out couch. There is a couch. There is a loveseat that has one side broken and it does not recline. We had three adults; two shared the bed and one slept on an air mattress on the floor. Future guests will likely not have the same problems, but our experience was perhaps the least positive I've had on VRBO to date.

Exactly what we needed
The apartment was exactly as advertised. It was very convenient for restaurants and getting to attractions quickly. We all slept well. When i had questions, i messaged the host and received a response very quickly!

Perfect Location
I was attending a conference that was held in the Convention Center, and this location was perfect. I was near a grocery store, restaurants, and a brief 5-min walk (tops) to the Convention Center for those 8 a.m. meetings. I would definitely stay here again for next year's conference.

I stayed at this place when I was attending a conference. I found it very convenient, being close to a Metro station, the convention center, a grocery store, and many restaurant options.

An awesome place if you're going to the convention center. The Safeway is right across the street and there's no shortage of restaurants nearby. It was spacious and comfy. Parking is free if you can find it. I'd suggest going early and parking way before check-in so you'll have a spot when you come back.

Great Week
Had a great week. Location is excellent. the apartment was clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped. Have your parking situation figured out ahead of time. The host gave me parking options in the confirmation email and I waited till I got there to figure it out. Big mistake that was 100% my fault. Heed his warning and you'll be fine, Neighborhood great. Police station is right next door if your a nervouse type, but there's no need to be. I would recommend to anyone! Enjoy your stay

Don't stay here! Very misleading ad. Looks like a cheap dorm room. Very unprofessional host.
I don't like to write bad reviews. I understand things happen beyond the host's control, but I must warn fellow travelers about this place and very unprofessional, immature host. First, the ad is misleading. It says "gorgeous" "renovated" "parking included" "sleeping for 4 guests". All of this is false. It started when we walked up to the entrance of this basement unit. It was obvious that the entryway and stairs down to the unit hadn't been maintained or cleaned in a while. Leaves were piled up along with trash and dirt. While overall the neighborhood is good, this entryway was drab, scary and dangerous. It looked like a slum. The entry door badly needs painting inside and out as it was dirty and damaged. Not a good 1st impression. It did not get better as we entered into the basement unit. We had 4 guests and the unit was advertised for 4; however, there was only 1 bed. Other than the 1 bed, there was a very small, narrow cot that was stained and dirty. There was also a couch that was similar. It looked like it had food that had been spilled on it and not cleaned up or maybe baby spit. We are not neat freaks, but this was gross. Venturing further into the basement we noticed it was unfinished looking with lots of wires all around. The entire place badly needed a fresh coat of paint and repairs to the walls as there were many holes. In the bedroom, there was a large hole in the floor and a huge collection of wires left out in the open. It looked maybe like a bad dorm room. None of the furniture matched. It was very cheap, damaged and dirty. In the Check In instructions, the host Bob indicated that he really wanted a 5 star review and to contact him if there were any problems so he could make it right. So, I reached out to the host and was met with total unprofessionalism. The host never offered to resolve anything. Most vacation rental hosts have been accommodating as they want to make any issues right. Most hosts would have had someone clean that yucky, dirty dangerous entryway and address any other issues as best they could (maybe offer an air mattress?) but this host wasn't good about responding and then when he did respond, he refused to resolve anything. He even threatened me that if I left a bad review that he would give me a bad review, even though he had not 1 complaint about me. He put this threat in the Vrbo message string so it's plain &obvious. His curious response left me wondering why he was in this business. Beware!

Basement apartment in nice location
Nice location within walking distance of all the sites. Owner let us drop our luggage early which we appreciated. Only complaint I have is with the cookware and dishes—pots and pans were rusty and there weren’t many bowls.
