Cozy perfection! Would book again!

We had an amazing stay at this pet-friendly VRBO—our dog is now convinced we’ve upgraded her life permanently to include morning walks by the canal. The hosts were so thoughtful they left a welcome note and treats, which we pretended were just for us (sorry, dog) as well as keeping the place well stocked. The place was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed, including a yard where our pup could live out her squirrel-watching dreams. The location was peaceful but close enough to civilization that we didn’t feel stranded. Breakfast at Chubby's was a local delight and we ventured out to the 7 Bridges trail near Milwaukee as recommended in the welcome binder and it did not disappoint. Evenings in the cabin felt like we were starring in a commercial for “relaxation goals” and the holiday decorations added to the delightful atmosphere. The hosts checked in to make sure we were happy and comfortable, which we absolutely were—probably too much. We’re already planning a return trip, assuming our dog will share the yard with us again! Highly recommend it!

Rejuvenating Quiet

I stayed at the Cozy Canal Cabin to avoid my neighborhood's street festival. It was the perfect spot to spend a quiet and peaceful weekend with my dog. My stay in the cabin gave me an "up north" feel without the long drive. The property was exceptionally clean and well maintained. It was the most relaxing, stress-free weekend I have had in years.

Very cute cabin. Perfect for a family willing to share a bathroom. Cabin was beautiful and clean. Parking was a breeze and the back yard was a quiet place to enjoy drinks. Hosts were very mindful and made our stay memorable.

Comfortable Rustic Luxury

The Cozy Canal Cabin was an amazing place to spend a cold, rainy, and snowy WI spring break. We wished we could have enjoyed the beautiful backyard, various water activities, huge back porch, fire pit and grill, but we had the great fortune of staying warm and entertained inside this luxurious cabin. It has been remodeled with precision craftmanship, upgraded with high-end fixtures, decorated with gorgeous murals, the most comfy furniture, perfect up north wall decor and loaded with games and activities to enjoy. The attention to detail from the hosts is outstanding, and they go above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Our Cozy Canal Cabin retreat was everything we hoped for and more!

Perfect weekend getaway

Of all my weekend retreats this property was by for the most well organized and professional rental. Everything is well organized and labeled Would definitely be a place I would want to visit again in the summer to kayak on the lake. The bedding was also the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on If I had to list any negative thing it would be figuring out the door code and coffee pot for the first time lol but that was all user error

Sweet and Cozy it is!

This cozy and immaculately clean and organized home was just a perfect place for short weekend getaway for our family of three and dog. The beds were comfy, and the home was a perfect distance of only about a 30-minute drive to Milwaukee, and other neat towns nearby such as Burlington, Lake Geneva, and West Allis. We lucked out to see the beautiful fall colors, and the owners were very responsive to my questions regarding favorite areas to hike. They also were responsive to questions about great dining options too and had an extensive list of ideas to share that was much appreciated. The owners even check in on how our stay was via email during the weekend just to make sure all was going well. We would definitely recommend this place and would love to come back sometime again so we can kayak in the lake. We hoped there was a path that we could take to walk around the lake, but they were private homes/land. Overall, we loved this place for a weekend getaway! Many thanks!

Cozy retro cabin

Sure, cozy translates as tiny. However, the owners have maximized smartly with a kingsize bedroom, and queen bunks in the second. All with very comfy mattresses, pillows, and linens. Large living room chairs to curl up on, with numerous throw blankets provided to keep everyone warm. Bathroom is one person at a time tight, but they found a way to add stack washer/dryer which is preferable. Small kitchen sink was a problem for us. We prefer to cook rather than waste time at restaurants for every meal. Food prep and dish clean-up was difficult to do simultaneously. They provided many kitchen staples, and many goodies too!

Time away

My husband and I are new parents and needed some restful time away with our six month old. This was the perfect spot, cozy, thoughtfully done and close to grandma and grandpa. There were things for baby and we had access to the lake for kayaking each day. Our hosts were attentive and understanding when this tired new mama made a ridiculous mistake on booking. We couldn’t have been more thankful for the time and place.

Just what we needed

The cabin was just as advertised. Quaint, private, full of amenities and perfect little touches. We enjoyed fishing, kayaking, sitting by the bonfire and making s’mores… we even got in a game of giant Jenga and kicked back and watched a couple of college football games. It was a perfect weekend away.
