Perfect Skye Cottage
This was a perfect cottage rental for a family of 4 on the western part of Skye. The home is situated on a hill overlooking the western shores of the island and has beautiful sunset views. The interior is super cute and cosy with plenty of space to relax. Bathrooms are large and updated with hot water at all times and the kitchen plus dining room are roomy as well. My family loved cozying up near the fire in the living room while watching the sun set. The cottage is located in a small community, so there are some other homes nearby, but we still felt tons of privacy and enjoyed being away from the hordes that can descend on the island. You’ll have to deal with a one lane road (with pull-outs) to get to the cottage, buts that’s pretty much status who for anything worthwhile on this beautiful island. To be warned, although internet is available it can be very patchy at times, which is expected based on the location. Host was super responsive and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again!

Es war wunderschön. Das Haus war wie beschrieben und super sauber. An dem tollen Blick bei spitzen Wetter konnten wir uns nicht sattsehen. Einen Abend haben wir sogar Nordlichter gesehen.

Absolutely beautiful !
We stayed at this amazing VRBO property and loved every day we were there. We wish we had stayed longer ! The house itself is perfection and so comfortable. The location is amazing.....about 30 min from Portree and in an off the beaton path location which is Heavan. The views are amazing. The welcome information was all on a digital screen which was really clever. We loved every day here and will return one day ! Barb and Dan

Exactly as advertised
The property is as advertised. They reach out via email a view days prior on how to check in and the gpa location which was extremely helpful. Wifi was so so but good enough for what you need. Beautiful area and got the much needed rest and relaxation.

Our stay was perfect! The location and the property was even better than expected. The fabulous views, lovely neighborhood, stunning sunsets from this house helped make our experience very memorable. Beautiful holiday home
Beautiful property on a quieter peninsula of Skye. Gorgeous views. A very comfortable stay. Our only complaint is the internet was down for two thirds of our stay. A little disappointing for the price paid.

Amazing getaway
This place is gorgeous and so comfortable. We loved having it as our place to land each night after exploring Skye. Our family of 5 had more than enough space to spread out and relax and look out at the beautiful views of the rain and sea!

Lovely spot for exploring Skye
This house was a lovely and comfortable base for our family to explore Skye. The kitchen was well-equipped, bedrooms cozy and living room well-appointed. Views were amazing and the laundry facilities much-appreciated in the midst of our two-week trip.

Scotland’s Skye is a Top 5
I’ve visited many countries and have had terrific holidays and Skye is definitely one of the top 5. A huge factor in the visit was that every detail was considered for guests to thoroughly enjoy themselves. We played ping pong, watched the boats through the telescope, had a fire and sipped scotch on the patio while taking in the sea view. The location was remote yet close enough to sites such as Dunvegan Castle and Old Man of Storr. A highlight was the multi course dinner at Loch Bay. A sign of how perfect the visit was, everyone wants to return.

Amazing Dun Hallin
We arrived to a beautiful sunset and then sat outside and watched shooting stars in the pitch black night. We wakened to glorious sunshine which stayed with us all weekend. The views are amazing from the house and we enjoyed sitting with a few glasses of wine, watching the small boats sailing by. The house is if a high standard with comfy beds and a great wood burning stove, which is lovely at the end of the day. The kitchen is large with a good sized dining table. We really enjoyed our short stay here and Skye was as always stunning. I would recommend this property.

We could have stayed forever!
This was the quintessential seaside cottage on the Isle of Skye! We felt instantly at home here and would have been content to stay forever. From the thoughtful bottle of wine awaiting us to the firewood pre-stocked (it was chilly!), to the rec room for the kids, there is nothing more we could have asked for. Our host, Ben, checked in on us to make sure everything was satisfactory. We took the recommended "4mile" walking loop and experienced all 4 seasons multiple times. It was stunning beyond anything we could imagine. However, it was definitely more than 4 miles and there were places where ankle deep water was unavailable. (It had been quite rainy!) Journey down the road to the Yurt for some tea or a latte! Our dream is to come back again and stay longer!
