Wonderful place, excellent host
We had an amazing stay at this property. Everything was seamless, from the booking to communicating with the host to the check-in and out. We got to use the kayaks and paddle boards, so fun! We even extended the stay last-minute without any delays from the host. Thanks for making the trip a wonderful experience. I highly recommend working with John.

Pure enjoyment
Owner was great responsive to a problem we encountered. Place is as pictured with location and good amenities. The grandkids enjoyed the paddle boards and kyaks. I thought the price was a little high, but it was worth it when I saw how the grandkids enjoyed the place. It became the meeting place for family attending the wedding.I would highly recommend the place

Beautiful Lake House
We were in for a week prior to a wedding. The house was modern and comfortable and the beds were great. Plenty to do in the area and lots of fun on the lake. John was easily reachable when we needed him.

Family Getaway
Our family had an amazing time at Gun Lake. We had both houses next to each other which made for a great week of visiting with family. Gun Lake is conveniently located between Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids where we have family, so we had several visits throughout the week. The property was clean and well maintained, and there is lots to do in the area.

John was fantastic at keeping us informed about the property! We had absolutely everything we could possibly need provided for us by the owners. Plenty of space for our family of 6 and could have added even more. Our family loved going out on the kayaks and paddle boards multiple times a day. Darling house. We really enjoyed our stay!

Perfect Family Getaway
We had a perfect family vacation! The home is beautiful and the layout was perfect for our family. The house was very clean when we checked in and all of the amenities were exactly as described. The first floor master suite was great for my father who is in a wheelchair. The kitchen was very nicely stocked so we were able to cook large meals with ease. We appreciated all of the beach towels and life jackets which allowed us to pack light. The kayaks and paddle boards were a fun extra touch and the ladder on the dock made it so easy for us to hop in and paddle away! We are looking forward to coming back next summer!

Gun Lake - unlocked, fully stocked, and a barrel of fun.
One of the best VRBOs we have visited. The property was clean and well maintained. It was stocked with everything we needed for our stay. Instructions were very detailed and communication with the owner was super. Being on a lake access allowed for many opportunities to enjoy the lake. Also, the geographic location was great for day trips to the Air Zoo to the south, dune rides to the west, and Holland to the Northwest. What a gem, we hope to come back.

We had a great time here. A good location to do some things in the Grand Rapids area, and also a fun place to stay with the kayaks available for use, and a small beach nearby. The host was always available for questions..

Convenient, accommodating and very clean
Having the rental be so close to everything and basically being on beautiful Gun Lake made the family trip so enjoyable. In addition, John the owner was very accomodating and very respondent to all our needs. The VRBO itself was beautifully decorated and very clean. Cute little treasures/games in the kitchen table was a nice touch. Thank you John for meeting all our expectations and helping us make memories for a lifetime.

Wedding Visit
Stayed for a weekend here while our friends were getting married in town. Spacious, clean house that was a great place to relax before the event. Nice patio space for after party fun as well. Great place to stay!

Wedding gathering.
This is our second time staying at John's property, both times for local weddings. We are from Michigan but currently live in Oklahoma. Our 3 children and their spouses live in Georgia. The house is perfect for 4 couples to stay and spend time together. Other family in town for the wedding stopped by and there is plenty of room. The backyard being on the canal with a large deck and dock makes for good gathering and grilling space. We'll be back!

Wonderful property and responsive host
Our group of four retirees had a very nice stay at this property. The house was spic and span, and the owner was quick to respond: our WiFi went down briefly, and it was quickly fixed. The neighborhood was as silent and peaceful as could be.

An Annual Tradition
This was the second near my family and I stayed at John Cremer's beautiful lake house home in Shelbyville Michigan. Everything about our stay was excellent. The home is clean and has everything you would need. We enjoyed using the kayaks provided. John responded immediately to questions and was very thorough with instructions and information we may need. The beds were so comfy- we all slept really well. If you and your family are looking for a comfortable, clean and relaxing getaway, this is it.👍

Great Vacation Home
My husband and I along with our two adult sons and two granddaughters enjoyed this vacation home immensely. The kayaks and paddle boards were a big activity for everyone. It was so nice being on a channel of the lake. We didn't worry about our granddaughters using the kayak and paddle boards as long as they stayed in the channel. The house is equipped with everything you need. No need to buy dishing washing detergent, laundry detergent, soap, paper towels, toilet paper, etc. I had packed a lot of these items because in the past, some of the homes we rented had maybe a days worth of these items. Just pack your clothes and prepare to have fun. Also, loved that there were several restaurants within a few minutes of the house. We will definitely rent this home again.
