Great little apartment!

Perfect little apartment near PA Grand Canyon
This is a wonderful place to stay, with easy access to Wellsboro, PA, the Grand Canyon, and interesting back roads of northern PA. Tom and Aine are welcoming and helpful. The apartment has everything that one needs and there is also a little deck for outdoor lounging and a fire pit. After busy days, it was like coming home to return to the apartment in the evenings.

Wellsboro trip
My husband and I usually stay in Wellsboro , but saw the VRBO add and couldn’t resist. The place was about 8 miles off the main road, we got there about 20 minutes before check in. We pulled in the long drive and Aine Byrne was coming out to greet us. I can’t say enough about our visit for our wedding anniversary. Everything was perfect . The apartment was top notch. Clean and so beautifully decorated. The mattress was comfortable and the apartment was well stocked with snacks, coffee and water. Aine and Tom were so hospitable and we enjoyed talking with them. They have 3 loving Dogs that you will fall in love with. We did the trail through the woods across the road and the pipeline access road. We will definitely be back for another visit.

2nd Stay Just as Great as First
We love staying at the Sand Rd. Apartment. This was our second stay here. Even though we had some bad weather it was still a good get-away. Tom and Aine are great and thoughtful hosts. They are full of knowledge about the area. The apartment is clean and comfortable. We love the peace and quiet of the area. We will be back!

Beautiful Stay
Our goal was to have a relaxing long weekend, explore the region, and do that with a clean, comfortable place to call "home". The cozy Sand Road Apartment did all of those things. Clean... is an understatement. It was immaculate. Everything that we needed was there, and there was even a supply of coffee, snacks, and water when we arrived. The site is beautiful! On top of a mountain, where the only sound at night is the air through the trees. Waking in the morning was so relaxing... cup of coffee, sitting out on the deck, just enjoying the sweet fresh air. Tom and Aine, the hosts are wonderfully warm, easy to talk to people. I can't say enough about how I enjoyed our conversations, and all of their hospitality. Thank you, we'll be back!!

tranquil getaway, nature lovers dream
This was the most spotless stay we have ever had. The host and hostess are extremely thoughtful and made sure to make us feel welcome, but were careful to also allow us the privacy we wanted for our anniversary getaway. Perfect balance! Anything we needed this place had. We forgot our hotdog forks, and they got some right to us! Loved the private campfire area and porch with rockers. Beautiful view with deer and song birds. Even the flowers and landscaping were perfect. Extremely well cared for. It is a bit away from the biggest town of Wellsboro so plan on driving or cooking here. We did a bit of both. This is the place to bring a book and reconnect with nature. Day trips to Watkins Glen, Finger Lakes, wineries were wonderful. Local canyon and Pine Creek were also fantastic. Even a horse ride close by.. Perfect place if this is the type of vacation you are looking for. Thank you so much!! You have a stunning place!

Cozy Sand road
Tom and Anja were wonderful hosts! Cozy sand road is a perfect title to this Vrbo rental. We had the most amazing time on our fishing trip and having this place to stay made it perfect and stress free. Super accommodating, knowledgeable and personable. They made sure you had everything you needed to be comfortable. Inside the Tioga State forest and the most relaxing and beautiful property! We will absolutely be staying here again!

Beautiful and private... A woodsy treasure
Sparkling clean, this is a place we'll happily visit again. It's well appointed, and communication was excellent! Not too far from Wellsboro, and a perfect spot if you want to hike and enjoy the outdoors. A very enjoyable place to stay!

Wonderful Getwaway!
Two nights was not enough at this property! The apartment had everything we needed and was super cozy. Waze got us completely lost and they came and got us, leading the way, which we were super grateful for. Definitely want to go back!

Peaceful Retreat In The Forest
If your looking for peace and quiet, you will find it here. Its just a short drive outside of Wellsboro and well worth the drive. The property has a cabin feel but also has all the luxuries of an expensive hotel. It was probably the cleanest place I have ever stayed in! The recliners were so comfortable and fresh cozy throws were within arms reach. The fridge was stocked with water, and the snacks, coffee and tea were so appreciated. If you choose to stay here, do yourself a favor and turn right out of the driveway. It’s a memorable drive through the Tioga State Forest. Miles of winding scenic roadway with a babbling brook hugging the side of the road. I actually enjoyed that more than the PA Grand Canyon. The hosts are friendly and helpful. It was a great place to stay.

Excellent place to stay
This was a wonderful cozy place to stay. It was warm, cozy and clean (which is a must for me). We were so pleasantly surprised by the amenities provided to us. Our hosts thought of everything, from coffee to toothbrushes! Tom was wonderful and easy to reach. His suggestions for things to do or places to go AND directions were spot on! I definitely recommend staying in this lovely place. Tom and his wife are just the best!

Relaxing and picturesque
Aine and Tom are terrific hosts. Simply delightful! The apartment had everything we needed for a 3 night stay. The kitchen was well equipped, the bed was comfortable with the softest sheets and pillows. We visited Wellsboro, enjoyed some retail therapy, biked in the PA Grand Canyon, sat on the side porch and enjoyed the quiet afternoon. We saw a bobcat on one of the dirt roads. It was one of the highlights of our trip. We enjoyed hot chocolate while watching a movie one evening. Tom shared lots of good stories and Aine greeted us, along with her 2 dogs and a cat whenever we ventured out in the morning and again whenever we came back. She was always making sure we had what we needed. The temperature dipped down into the 30's our last night there and we were very comfortable. The apartment is well insulated and so very cozy. Why would anybody stay in a hotel in Wellsboro when this apartment is just a short drive out of town? We will definitely be back again. Thank you Aine, Tom, Wylie and Amber (the pups)
