The property is located on a hilltop with beautiful views, and each room had excellent cold air conditioning, which was a lifesaver in the Texas heat.A couple of things to note: the gravel road and driveway can be a bit rough if you're driving a low-clearance vehicle—an SUV handles it much better. Sitting down by the lake at any time of the day is just magical. Shelly is a phenomenal host and person. "We had an absolutely phenomenal time at The Cottage! Photos don’t do the property justice — it’s truly a dream. We appreciated how well appointed the home was and were incredibly grateful for the hosts flexibility with check-in/ check-out times. "The place was great for a small family reunion for my mom‘s 75th birthday. There was plenty of space for us. They had everything you needed in the kitchen. The pool and views were wonderful. A few things that didn’t work (e.g. dryer, air hockey table puck, 2 rollaways) but they responded incredibly quickly and we really didn’t need those things so it didn’t detract from the stay. I’m sure they’ll be resolved before the next person. I’d recommend this place. "

"Perfect! Very clean, fully stocked (including towels for the lake and life jackets!), lots of space and docks were fantastic. Lauren was very responsive, super easy experience. Casita has a big king bedroom and the most adorable, super fun bunk room, full kitchen and fridge, etc... Main house was beautiful and comfy and has another 2 beds and 2.5 bath. Everything we needed and more. Loved it! Highly recommend! "
