Thank you for an excellent stay in this beautiful home. The kitchen was large and well appointed for our needs. There was plenty of space for our large group to gather for meals and games. Hope to stay here again!

Beautiful place for a family gathering!
Wow, the dark knight sky is beautiful to behold, if you have a telescope, I recommend you bring it. If nit the observatory is minutes away. Plenty of room for people to relax, we had 7 so we were only in the main "Lodge". Kids played in the yard and dogs barked at the neighboring field's cows; overall just a wonderful setting with great access to the National Forest. We'll be back.

Great home for relaxation and adventure
Mountains right out your front door, endless pastures out the back. Spotless upon arrival. Comfortable beds and warm blankets so you can leave the windows open all night. Great master bath and everything you could need in the kitchen. Offroading and hiking 10 minutes down the road, or an authentic small town 10 minutes the other way. You'll be looking at property listings by the time you leave.

We loved it here!
My family and I drove from Texas to stay here for Spring Break. A snow storm blew in the day we arrived. Us being Texans, we havent experienced anything like it. We enjoyed the warmth of the house and the beautiful fireplace and enjoyed some board games together. The house had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook our meals and everything was labeled so well! The beautiful mountian views are visible from every room in the house. The snow didnt stop us from getting out and about and enjoying things nearby...the owners had someone come and plow the drive and shovel the porches. We didnt even have to ask! Westcliffe was such a cute town with great shops and the friendliest people. We will definitely stay here again!

Fantastic property for family reunion
The lodge and annex were perfect for 9 adults & 2 dogs. It is very well stocked, provided coffee beans were a treat, maps/books on trails appreciated, lots of games and everything we needed. Great star gazing & nice fire pit. Charlie the host was super responsive, helpful & courteous. I highly recommend Trail Head lodge & DarkSkies Vacations

Overall, it was a nice cabin. Our family of three likes to have our spaces to relax. It could benefit from curtains or blinds in the master bedroom and madter bathroom as its open fully. A second tv would also be nice for teenagers. We bought a second tv while there. It's a lovely location, close to town so we would likely stay there again

Beautiful Mountain View
We loved the view from the porch and the rural location of the home. House was clean and comfortable. Westcliffe is a cute town, with some great small restaurants and coffee shops. We really enjoyed our stay, thanks for the great accommodations.

Highly Recommend
We came to Westcliffe with a group of friends to ride local ATV Trails, so we had several truck and trailer combos. They were very accommodating and made everything so easy! Even saw Charlie in town a couple of times and he stopped to check on us each time. Great place for groups!

We came for my dad’s Military Honors Service! We enjoyed spending time with family and remembering my dad and his memories of living in Westcliffe! It was nice to have the whole family in one house so we can reminisce about our dad Thank you!!

Great place for a getaway
We rented the bigger of the two connected properties. Based on the description I thought it had 3.5 baths. It has 2.5 baths. We had 7 people and was able to make it work but would have preferred 3.5 baths or realize it ahead of time. Charlie is awesome to work with and very responsive. We would rent the house again. Stars are amazing to sit out side at night and just gaze at them.

Charley, our host, was accessible and personable, but never hovered. The Lodge was beautiful and completely practical for children, dogs, and provided quiet and communal spaces that met our every need. The only drama we experienced was the best kind: mountains and stars that kept us all mesmerized, humble, and full of gratitude. The well-stocked home and surroundings felt cozy — lots of games for family time and the perfect kitchen for larger families. We cannot wait to return. Thank you.
