I typically don't leave negative reviews unless my experience has been really really bad. This one was horrific to say the least. Let me start by saying that the place is cute and clean. Typical small family business. The bad experience stems from the owner's complete disregard of their customers' circumstances. I called on the morning of the day of our arrival to inform the owner that our flight has been delayed and we will be getting there at 1 am, which is past the check-in time of 10:30 pm and what can we do about it. He proceeded to tell me, that he'll wait for us to check us in. I asked if we could be given the code for the room, or leave the key somewhere and he insisted that it will be ok. I called again at 9:45 pm to say that we are boarding our flight as it had been delayed again for 2 extra hours. He again insisted that there should be no problem. We ended up arriving at 3 am, only to find no one at the reception, no key, no nothing. I called, emailed no answer. Myself and my wife had to sleep for 5 hours on a small couch in the reception area until the owner showed up. He insisted on charging us an extra $40 for "late check in". When I asked why he couldn't leave us a key, or even better program an entry code in the KEYPAD room lock like many many other hotels do, he belligerently said"don't tell me how to run my business". This guy doesn't have the slightest idea about customer service, nor does he care about the safety or comfort of his guests.
