"Property is right in the heart of Hahndorf. We were given an upstairs apartment. Not the best if you have large suitcases. The stairway is inside the apartments. Lovely shower although our showerhead needed a good clean and descale. Otherwise all good. Have stayed before and would stay again in a downstairs apartment."

"The Shack was a great base for our weekend with a group of people staying elsewhere in Goolwa.Place was clean and all we needed. We were out both days and sorry we didn’t get to lounge around the property a bit more. Great affordable place to stay for a restful weekend. "Host was very accommodating however the property description doesn't match reality. Cooking was via a shared barbecue, washing up needed to be done in the bathroom vanity and the restaurant was closed. Most meals required a 20 minute drive to Nairne...or slightly further to Mt Barker. It would be OK for an overnight stay or weekend if you wanted to travel around the Adelaide Hills. Longer stays are very difficult."

"Very relaxing and quiet.. most things were generously thought of, which made our stay perfect. If there was one improvement I could suggest, it would be to fix the noisy air conditioner as it kept waking us . Overall I would definitely recommend it ⚓️🛶"

"A lovely place to stay ( Oct. 2024). We had a nice room (cottage #1) which had a basic kitchenette. Large room and bathroom, separate bedroom. Very friendly owners. The property is in an excellent location, centrally located on the main road. Many restaurants and bars a short walk away. Laundry facilities on site. Secure parking. Highly recommended."

"Affordable place in Goolwa, close to beach. It is retro as advertised (we enjoyed the dvd selection), but perfectly comfortable - the bed was great. We had a few issues with check in information not arriving and correct beds not made up but easily sorted."

"A great place to stay - gorgeous views, fishing at the end of the garden, peace and quiet (except for the wonderful birdsong),a great place to rest and read or get out and about - so close to the Murray Mouth.. The house was very clean, comfortable and thoughtfully set up. It was also lovely to be able to bring our little dog with us. Monique was a great host, answered emails quickly and thoroughly. "

"We stayed at Aggies for a short stay while working in the area. We found it very comfortable and accommodating. Plenty of accompaniments we're weren't expecting which were well appreciated. We didn't get to meet the hosts but their communication was great. This area seems like a wonderful place. I'll be back next time for holidays. Matt from Melbourne."

"We had a wonderful few days at this property. It was in a good location with beautiful views overlooking the beach. The property was nicely renovated and clean. There were a few issues which were inconvenient and could be more accurately advertised. As a pet friendly property, dogs were not permitted inside, for the price point we would have expected linen to have been included and picking up the key from a nearby town was not ideal. There was also not an internal staircase which meant going out...

"We had an upstairs room and did request a room upgrade if available which we did not get. Would have been a good time for them to have done it as they were doing huge renovations in their poker room which affected their entry and reception area. It will be wonderful in a few weeks or months I guess. We had a beef schnitzel with Dianne gravy and a small side salad and chips for tea which was probably a little bit overpriced but very nice. The girl that greeted us at the hotel was very friendly...

"This property and Staff were amazing. We started off in a lovely room, but had very noisy upstairs neighbors so asked to be moved to a room without an upstairs, The lovely lady at reception could not have been more accommodating for us ad moved us to a studio room. All I can say is AMAZING service and AMAZING room. It was so quiet, right in the middle of Hahndorf. Walking distance to everything. Beautiful l garden to look out at. Thanks for an amazing stay and all your help to make our stay...
