Secluded but close to town
We loved: the theme and decor of the cabin, location, how the TV dropped out of the ceiling, the milk bath option, the hot tub, and the fire pit. We liked how the landscape made us feel like we were secluded in the woods.

My husband and I come here every year. We love moonshiner for its unique style. It is always clean and the owners are super responsive. The cabin is well equipped with everything you need, the bed is comfortable, and you have privacy. We always enjoy our stay here.ourselves every time we come.

weekend getaway
we very much enjoyed our weekend getaway at the moonshiner cabin. it was private, cozy and exactly as pictured!! the vintage vibes were the perfect touch. close to town yet hidden away and quiet. gregory & jennifer were great hosts, quick to respond and very kind! we would definitely recommend and we ourselves hope to be back again as well.

Cozy Quiet Retreat
This property was quiet and restful. Loved the outdoor shower and hot tub. Creative decor. Eco-conscious which was a plus. We used it as a home base for the Formula 1 race at COTA. Worked great.

Perfect getaway!
This little cabin in the woods was decorated perfectly, and cute as a button. The owners thought of every detail of decor, providing great conversation as we checked out all the little things he built by hand. Very relaxing with deer and other wildlife nearby. Proximity to town was perfect, only a few mins drive. We enjoyed the town shops and dining, stopped at a couple breweries, took in a night time kayak ride on the Comal, and a concert at Whitewater Amphitheater. All activities close and easy to get to and from this little cabin. I recommended to the owners that the bed is ready for replacement for a more comfortable night's sleep. But it still gets 5 stars as we 100% enjoyed our stay.

The property was great, exactly as expected. The wife and I were able to relax in private and get away from the world for a bit. The hosts had a travel guide for the area as well. Gives several recommendations on food and entertainment.

Fantastic!
Contactless check in was flawless. From the moment we walked in, we were in awe. The hot tub was sparkling clean and already hot. There was ice in the freezer. There was a bottle of Prosecco to welcome us. The details in the cabin were thoughtful and executed perfectly. The outdoor shower was such a fun element. This cabin feels secluded and remote, but it’s only 5 minutes to the Wimberley square. We are already planning to come again

Lovely weekend getaway
We traveled in from Houston for a concert at Whitewater Amphitheater. This property was perfect for just the two of us. Peaceful and quiet, very clean and so cute! Gregory and Jennifer were wonderful at communicating with us, and we plan on going again soon!

Moonshiner review
Very quaint and retro accomodations as we expected. The cast iron side rails on the bed were a bother for an older person as myself who has to get up at least 2 times or more a night to use the bathroom. The metal base for the wooden stove is a hazard for older people at night. The tub needs a tub mat so people won't slip. The outdoor shower probably needs a door rather than a curtain or else find a way to anchor the bottom to keep from opening in the wind. We wanted to use the fan but it was very very noisy. Suggest oiling it or update it. We hope you will use our constructive criticism. Thanks. The Pachecos

Great little cabin
My wife and I stayed at this little cabin and very much enjoyed our stay. The place was one of the cleanest that we’ve ever stayed in. Even though there is a house very close by and it’s only about a mile and a half from town it feels very secluded and private because of the cedar post fence. Loved the hot tub and outdoor shower. My only dislike is the French press coffee maker. That’s on me though because I’m so spoiled with the keurig. Highly recommend this cabin.
